  • 2 years ago I went through the same situation as Lisa. I had to pretend like I like him and enjoy all he does, in order to save my life. That’s the most disgusting and disturbing thing that anyone can ever imagine. I know how hard it is to get over all that but we have to be strong somehow. I thought of sharing this even though it is extremely uncomfortable me to, is only because I know there may be many girls who are going through what I went through. I need you to know that you are strong enough. Fight for the happiness you deserve. You are precious. There’s always light at the end of the tunnel, trust me

  • Never blame yourself for someone else’s crime’s. It’s not your fault. I was a victim of sexual assault when I was a child and I never blamed myself. I waited to tell my mom until I got a councilor and I was ready to deal with the outcome. I am glad I did because my mom wasn’t in a good way at the time of my situation. I went to the police too and they collected evidence and three years later the dude was caught abusing another child. I wanted to heal and I wouldn’t have been able to if my mom was upset too. I was nine when it happened and I finally told my family when I was thirteen. I silently started councilling at school two weeks after it happened. You have to be brave and courageous to deal with sexual assault. My mom taught me how to be strong and courageous, if she didn’t I wouldn’t have known what to do. Remember, don’t speak to strangers and don’t be silent about abuse. Make sure everyone can see the predator, yell it out kick and scream, scratch and tear yourself away. You have rights to protect yourself.

  • I was a student at the University of South Florida in Tampa during that time. There were outdoor racquetball courts on campus that I played on almost daily. Bobby Joe played there often. Unbelievable that I actually played doubles racquetball games with him. When the news broke, myself and many others who played racquetball with him were in shock and disbelief. Never imagined he was a serial killer.

  • I just watched the movie called Believe Me. Wow! What an amazing woman!! It was heart wrenching! I’m so proud of her!! Tragic she went thru such hell, not only after being ubducted, but her whole life! She is 1 strong willed woman! 🙏 I’m so glad she survived & told her story! She turned her heartache & pain into something so positive! 💞

  • It’s quite interesting and by no coincidence that we have here yet another sexual deviant and predatory serial killer rapist who is also not only from Florida, but who also had a background in the military exactly as so many of the others who were captured for committing these same serial killer atrocities.

  • WOW… Lisa, if you’re reading this, you are a brave and beautiful woman.!!!!! The Lord was with you. There is no doubt in my mind..!! Not all of us could have reacted that way probably not many of us at all, the Lord saved you for some reason… I’m so glad He did… As for the ex-wife, ma’am, I’m sure Lai glad you got away from him. Don’t ever be sorry for not killing him when you got home from the hospital. I imagine that’s easier said than done, I know. From everything I’ve seen you could’ve ended up in prison the rest of your life. Regardless, I’m just glad you and your children are safe…. 🤠✌🏽

  • Amazingly strong woman! Glad she’s a police officer, she has the instincts for police work. I used to publish an underground music magazine in the 90s. Somehow, Bobby Joe Long got a copy of one, who knows how, I live in California. He wrote to me from death row. He wrote this 20+ page letter. It’s the most twisted thing I’ve ever read. It was all about trying to manipulate me, it was really bizarre. I never wrote him back, of course. But I did keep the letter.

  • I knew a guy whose behavior and character completely changed after severe head injury. He was on of my superior officers while I was in the army. He did not became violent though, quite the opposite. He was laughing often and sometimes speaking nonsense. Of course, he did not work very long afterwards. Unfortunetaly, it seems head injuries can go other way.

  • That accident damaged his brain. Sad. It is true if she had killed him, 10 women would be alive, but the prosecutor probably would have charged her with murder instead of something far less, or self defense laws. The self defense laws are definitely in order sometimes. If someone is that deadly, and you kill them, you protect the future of your kids and other women. Prosecutors do not get that, and if one ever does, it will be a woman that has been there.

  • People say the abuse people suffer is senseless. It’s horrific, but there’s a reason for everything Lisa suffered. If she hadn’t already been abused, she wouldn’t have been able to think, plan. Lie. That suffering which seemed so pointless saved her life and that of so many women, I think. Everything has a reason.

  • Amazing teen, and amazing woman. It’s really sad that after he hit his head in a motorcycle accident it made him become a monster. I wonder if it could have been prevented with proper treatment. I watched the movie, the twisted universe telling Lisa she won’t be dying, instead she’ll be living with a purpose from now on. Everything happens for a reason, even if its another harsh situation and lesson to endure.. but it freed her from her horrible situation by suriving another horrible one. I can’t understand the reason why Bobby hit his head and became a monster though, that doesn’t make sense to me why the universe would create a monster out of someone who seemed to be a good person originally.

  • It is sad all those he raped or raped and killed, but one person, Lisa, that got away and changed her life. She lived even thought she wanted to kill herself and then realized she wanted to live. She went on to do some good in the world in the job that she is doing. How wonderful for her to be so brave and smart and grow. It is sad for all the people left behind for those that died and got their lives brutally cut short.

  • I have so much admiration and respect for this amazing woman. Her home life was absolutely horrendous and she had already planned to unalive herself that very evening/early morning hours once she returned home. Heartbreakingly tragic. And then she gets abducted by a real-life monster. I believe many more women would have become victims if not for Lisa’s quick thinking and talking herself out of death. What Lisa has done with her life since is truly extraordinary. I salute her and wish her nothing but success and a happy life doing what she loves. May God watch over her always. BJL is dead now. May all of his victims rest in peace.🙏🏻❤️🕊️🕯️

  • Just love you C.W you’re one of my top 5 for sure. Is this a new Narrator or has she narrated before? Not quite sure but she is a pretty good reader. Nice soft voice to soothe you even reading horrific story. SURVIVOR as well.💜 God Bless you and all woman like us that have been abused or knows a woman that has been abused. Enough is Enough! Stop🛑the Violence! If you see 👀 SOMETHING say something 🙏 Stop 🛑 the silence 🔕

  • Why nobody catch the word “accident and badly injured Bobby head”. That could trigger his brain to something abnormal. Modern Medical Science and Neuro Enginnering could prove that. There are many cases that the person is no longer the same person anymore after the serious head accident. So, Booby is the victim as well…

  • I had to paste the article to take a min just thinking about the fact that the wife was about to kill him and didn’t. She was weighing going to jail for life and never getting to raise her kids against she knew not what really. Just knew he was bad but I doubt she would have imagined he was capable of what what ended up doing. If she had known I’m sure she would have taken that opportunity to end him then.

  • Im actually really intrigued, this is the first time im hearing bobby joe had a big head injury via motorcycle accident, reminds me of Gary Heidnik (last person to be put to death in my state PA) his head was deformed cause he had a brain injury as a child. He climbed up a tree and i believe fell and hit his head on a rock or something.

  • I’m sorry but if you don’t think God works in mysterious but amazing ways after hearing Lisa’s story I don’t know what would convince you. To think she was heading home to commit suicide and this happens and because of her a rapist/serial killer is caught and apparently it not only made her realize she didn’t want to die but she has gone on to become a cop, catch who knows how many more potential rapist/serial killers and also touch and turn around who knows how many young lives. God isn’t supposed to “rid the world of evil and suffering”, at least not at this time, his existence doesn’t mean bad things don’t happen or that there is never tragedy, rape, suffering, disease etc but he still intervenes sometimes often in the most mysterious ways and I am fully convinced he did here.

  • I almost didn’t watch this because of the girl doing this interview and voice over.. She is the happy face killer daughter. She has made a living off her dad being a serial killer. She makes me sick. What makes her an expert? Because her dad killed woman that she never seen . She never seen him do anything and only was around him part time .. This woman that was married to Bobby Long is more an expert. Why do they not make money off their POs husbands and family members that have committed murders? I know cause their not narcissistic money hungry like this daughter is. Why does she not take the money she makes and help the families her dad murdered? She wouldn’t even be known or be famous if it wasn’t for her father killing innocent women..
