Is Bam From Alaskan Bush People Married?
Joshua "Bam Bam" Brown, the second-eldest son of the Brown family on Discovery Channel's "Alaskan Bush People", has officially left the show. Although he's been in a long-term relationship with Allison Kagan, he is not married; the couple has been together since they met while filming the series in 2016. Bam clarified that rumors of their engagement are unfounded. In contrast, another family member, Noah Brown, married Raquell in 2019, and they have a daughter named Sophie.
Bam, who is known for being the most educated brother among the Brown siblings, stepped away from "Alaskan Bush People" in 2017 to concentrate on his relationship with Allison but returned to the show in 2019. His connection with Allison has remained largely private, but he expressed hope for a future together, including the prospect of returning to Alaska.
While Bam Bam maintains a low profile compared to his brother Bear, he has shared insights into his life with Allison. She worked as a field producer for the series from 2015 to 2018 before their romantic relationship blossomed. Even though they are not married yet, Bam Bam is "head over heels" for Allison, as they continue to support each other in their lives, with Bam now residing in Washington.

Joshua "Bam Bam" Brown, known as the cutest and most educated brother from "Alaskan Bush People," is set to depart from the show, with his exit airing on Discovery at 9 p. m. ET. After initially leaving the series for a relationship with a producer, he returned in 2019 but has since embarked on a new chapter, now focusing on his photography career. Despite facing legal issues, Bam has made significant personal growth. Following his father's passing in 2021, he has also stepped into a more prominent role within the family, helping his siblings as needed.
Speculations about the Brown family's 15th season and their living situation in 2024 have circulated among fans, especially as some siblings consider returning to Alaska. Recently, Bam reactivated his social media after a long break, posting pictures from North Star Ranch, which excited fans. His relationship with Allison Kagan has influenced his decision to step back from the series. Additionally, Bam faced a serious incident involving a car crash.
Despite the challenges, he remains close to his family and is committed to his new beginnings outside of the Alaskan wilderness. The series bids farewell to Bam as he embraces love and new experiences in a city setting.
Why Did Bam Get A Call From Alaskan Bush People?
In an emotional episode of Alaskan Bush People, Joshua "Bam Bam" Brown, 32, reflects on his mother's cancer diagnosis, revealing his desire to provide support for his family despite the overwhelming emotions. He also clarified the family's living situation, noting the confusion fans often have about it. Known as the most educated sibling, Bam Bam took a hiatus from the show for a relationship with a producer but returned in 2019 following some legal troubles involving his father, Billy Brown.
Both faced legal issues for lying on Permanent Fund dividend applications, leading them to serve 30 days in jail in 2016 and complete 40 hours of community service. In addition, in 2015, the family faced numerous counts related to unsworn falsification. Despite some fans' skepticism regarding Ami Brown's cancer battle, the family's struggles continued to unfold publicly, accentuating the challenges they faced.
Meanwhile, tensions arise from past arrests and the ongoing image of the family as "Alaskan Bush People." Fans speculate about the show’s authenticity, as living conditions and past crimes overshadow the portrayal of their lives, leading to questions about future plans. Lost a lot of respect for Howie after seeing this clip. Knoxville is visibly uncomfortable with the line of questioning, shuts it down multiple times. He even has to crack a joke and shut it down a final time at the end because you keep trying to edge him into a fight or into saying something negative about Bam. You’re better than this.
This is pathetic. These hosts trying to capitalise and provoke some further controversy out of Knoxville all for content. Whilst being completely insensitive to the fact he is probably really hurting from what is happening with Bam. Knoxville handled it like the only professional in the room. God celebrity culture is fucking awful.
Both Howie and his cohost come off antagonistic and insensitive in this. Between her comment “at least it’s not your kids, right?” (as if to suggest he doesnt care if cast members get hurt) and Howie’s insistence on baiting Knoxville with “he wants to fight you” it seems so clear theyre just trying to generate click bait to stay relavent. This is disgusting and represents everything wrong and toxic about Hollywood culture. Shame on both of them and props to Johnny for not taking the bait.
Ever since Ryan died that was it for Bam. Period. I mean maybe he really did have mental issues all his life because if you know him and his family well you’d know mental illness runs in his family, buuut the passing of Ryan really fucked him up and he hasn’t been right ever since. I guarantee by now if Dunn got help for his drinking and sobered up Bam absolutely would have done the same and the legacy would have continued…..What a shame, man…
What a lovely Stoic and mature response by Johnny. Johnny is leading with love and compassion here, despite his friend’s hostility. He genuinely loves Bam and wants to see him better. He recognizes that Bam is possessed by a demon and hopes Bam will win that fight so he can return and be good friends again. I hope one day Bam will see Johnny’s love rather than what the alcohol thinks.
The crazy thing is the original jackass crew mainly Bam and his team involved was like one big family Bam obviously has mixed feelings for Knoxville and Jeff but I genuinely think they dont hate eachother. It was a brotherly hard loving thing they did to Bam and Bam has been mad since. They just want him sober that’s true brother love.
Do they not realize he knows Bam is very very sick, he truly loves Bam.. Him taking Bam from the show killed him but knew Bam was slowly killing himself. He didn’t want to see that or help him kill himself. He doesn’t want to make $$ from Bams downfall. Made me sick hearing them laugh and say fight him televise it! This is his friend! They grew up together! This is how sick & greedy people are.. Johnny just proved he isn’t about that.. I’m sure he probably feels partly responsible for where Bam has gone and been through. I pray they find there way back to each other. I loved that whole crew still do!
Howie sucks. I like Johnny, but it’s funny how these celebs and their circles preach mental health but when someone is clearly battling, they throw up arms and say crap like, “oh, I haven’t spoken to him in XY amount of time and I hope he’s doing well”. Dude. If my best friend is off the rails, no matter what they’ve done or said, I’m going to try my best to keep tabs on them because I love them. If I know that something deeper is going on, I’m at very least keeping myself in the loop. These celebs are all fake.
It’s very funny to see these really successful TV hosts (in the sense that they’re been on TV for 20 years) completely fail when they go independent and don’t have multiple networks basically forcing people to watch them by being the only thing on TV. This podcast’s numbers are absolutely horrendous, they have the following of a an unsuccessful D&D podcast on patreon.
I’ve been a diehard jackass and CKY since 97 or something. Bam may be just as intro and vital as Johnny Knoxville to their success, but I got to tell you he was always my least favorite and I really tried to like him. I watched all the viva Bam and unholy union. It’s really good stuff, but I just cannot stand up egoist, spoiled kid attitude, but I do respect him as Skateboard and being creative as well.
Johnnys such a good guy man. Whenever people think of wholesome celebrity figures theres the obvious ones like Bob Ross, Mr Rogers, Steve Irwin, Robin Williams, etc but from what I’ve seen of Johnny throughout the years hes up there on that same list for me at least. Hes like Americas favorite dirty uncle lmao.
He’s right though what’s it gonna prove it’s just basically one man wanting to emit his frustrations onto Knoxville because of how it went down and how he was sacked. I feel for the pair of them myself in fact I side more with Bam because I believe the way it went down was cold but then again we don’t know how many times Bam’s substance and drink misuse has caused a problem. But haven’t they all to some degree been either strung out on something or been at least wild at least a handful of time’s throughout their Jackass careers? Look at Steve “O” considering how Bam was let go that guy has dodged a big time bullet there surely.
Bam was a school hood friend of mine .. leave him alone.. just let him be .. after Ryan’s (another school hood friend of mine) death Bam hasnt been able to cope with it properly and is self destructive. i wish i could get in contact with him but since he became famous he’d probably think i was trying to cash in on him or something .. i mean its been a long time since we were in school together. Bam .. if you see this man … please man .. get the help you need to conquer the demons that are tormenting you. please process Ryan’s death in a way that brings you peace. I know its hard man. I have lost many friends along the way too.. i dont want to turn on the tv and see another one of my friends has died a tragic death.
Johnny always was the smartest of the bunch, he never did the most sick stuff and he obviously understands how to market the brand and give everyone a time to shine and some money. Steve-O cleaned up, Pontius is actually it seems the most normal guy out of the bunch of them who is cool with who he is, and Bam, is pissed off only because he used to be the first in popularity behind Knoxville and now he’s last not in popularity, but as a human being. They are all ahead of him, not one of them actually undermined him or hurt him, he did it only by himself and he can’t stomach it or admit it. So he’s being a giant baby about it and he keeps attacking other which is really only digging himself deeper into the hole he is in.
Who talks to someone like that, man? Especially all these people have been through together being on drugs, getting clean, pushing their friends to get clean and ultimately having to push out someone who meant so much to them. I just had a friend have to push out his best friend for years who was doing a bunch of whipitz and ruining his life. It killed him. His best friend tried to kill him on drugs. His friend is mad that he dropped him, but it’s not my place to bring up their trauma and it deeply upsets both of them. After hearing that it’s hard to deal with or seeing someone get emotional why would you show that article?
Hes got that feeling yeah hes my jomie, but sometimes ya gotta cuttem off. I did the same thing to my best friend of 30 yrs after he got too deep into drugs. It hurt, and when he died it broke my heart. Thinking i wasnt there for him or to try harder to help. Sometimes its just better to leave it be.
Knoxville is a stronger man if he can wish someone love who wants to hurt him. Truth is their gig ends once you hit 40 max, looks weird doing jackass in middle or old age. It’s crazy bam spiraled out of control, he could have just retired at 35 set for life and laid low. Looks like now he’s barely alive. It’s sad to watch.
Knoxville, Jeff and Steve’o are all about the money and ego, they could care less about anybody for that matter, It was very obvious because they did it to bam, the one that made them all and basically gave them a show in the first place, now they just shit on him every chance they get, amd they wonder why bam comes right back at them with it.
Howie and that girl are so insensitive and disrespectful. There purposely asking bad bait questions. This podcast and those two are the worst. You can clearly see Johnny not comfortable with those questions and talking about that. Johnny is smart and a pro, he responded perfectly. Now I see why Dana left right when the podcast started. I never liked Howie, I always thought he’s a tool, and a very weird, disrespectful, and obnoxious guy with no talent 👎 👎
Whoa, this is gross! “Televise it. Make money.” Mandel saying *again*, “he wants to fight you”after Knocksville says, “I wish him nothing but the best” – just what the hell is he expecting him to say? Knocksville even says, “Yeah. What am I gonna do with that?” because, seriously, WHAT OF IT? HM is at least in his late 60’s, why is he instigating sh*t between other people? Knocksville is diplomatic and comes out smelling like a rose in this. Good for him!
How or why does Howie and this nobody co host know anything or have any history to ask about something like Bam or the old crew. They are so far removed or have nothing to do with this that it’s literally just asking because it’s a popular thing to do they are just trying to get views. It’s bad. I saw another clip where it was just as bad and looks like people still hate this podcast and rightfully so.
It Sucks to be stuck in a Fuked up Relationship and be with Jack Ass Stuff almost every day for almost 17 years!.. And Yes. I have had tons of Concussions! Yet! Still have a White Brother that is Crazy from Cali! He’s from another Father…. And anything you ask him to do he will do. haha.. Yet! I’m stuck with this one really Mean Mother Fuker! That so called father..My Right ear still hurts! after being hurt trying to help my little baby Katelyn…I helped save her, never knew ringing in ear with a hit and not a actual gun, and he actually tried to shoot her with a gun a couple weeks ago…Guess who get’s a Black eye for Christmas?
Just speak the truth man. Yes Bam has issues, but that does not make him a bad person. Knoxville is just in it for the Hollywood lifestyle thats clear, and again that doesn’t make him bad, but don’t be a dick and try to mince your words just tell the truth. You ( Knoxville) let Bam go from the movie because you were worried it would impact you either financially or your “reputation”, which you only got because of Bam…
