Does The Tuohy Family Still Get To See Michael Oher?

3.5 rating based on 172 ratings

Michael Oher, the former NFL player who inspired the Oscar-winning film “The Blind Side”, has spoken out for the first time since filing a lawsuit against the Tuohy family. Oher accused Sean and Leigh Anne Tuohy of “falsely” advising him to enter into a conservatorship, not an adoption. The Tuohy family had a conservatorship over Oher throughout his time as an offensive lineman at Ole Miss. A Tennessee judge is ending a conservatorship agreement between Oher and a Memphis couple who took him in when he was in high school.

Oher made headlines in late 2023 after making allegations against the Tuohy family, who were long believed to have adopted him. In July 2004, after Oher turned 18 but was still a student, the Tuohys offered for him to come live with them. Soon after he moved in, the Tuohys gave. Based on photographic evidence, Oher didn’t invite any member of the Tuohy family to his wedding. When he tied the knot with Tiffany Roy in 2022, none of the Tuohy family attended.

In court documents, Michael Oher said he was never adopted by the Tuohys and was “exploited” for the benefit of their family. Michael Oher and the Tuohy family are back in the news more than a decade after the release of the 2009 movie “The Blind Side”. Michael Fletcher reports on Oher’s petition that alleges the Tuohy family never adopted him and instead used a conservatorship. The Tuohys removed references suggesting they adopted the former NFL player, who lived with the family starting when he was in high school.

While Oher, now 38, still expressed fond feelings about the comfort and care Sean and Leigh Ann provided him, the relationship did appear to deteriorate.

Are Michael Oher And The Tuohy Family Still Together?

Michael Oher and the Tuohy family have made headlines again, over a decade after the 2009 film "The Blind Side," inspired by Oher's life. In August 2023, Oher filed a lawsuit against Sean and Leigh Anne Tuohy, alleging he was never officially adopted but rather placed under a conservatorship, which the Tuohys allegedly used to profit from his story. Oher, a former NFL player, clarified that his time with the Tuohys was not entirely negative, stating it was "great" and he had a place to stay.

Oher's strained relationship with the Tuohys worsened when he discovered he was not receiving any royalties from the movie, which he felt alienated him as the only family member excluded from financial benefits. Following the lawsuit, the Tuohys denied ever planning to adopt Oher and maintained that they did not exploit him. Sean Tuohy expressed a willingness to terminate the conservatorship. Oher married Tiffany Roy in November 2022, marking a new chapter in his personal life amid the legal battles. The situation reflects a deeper narrative of familial bonds, exploitation, and the complexities of relationships portrayed in Hollywood films.

Was Michael Oher Lied About Adopting Sean Tuohy?

Michael Oher, the retired NFL player whose life inspired the Oscar-nominated film The Blind Side, is in the news again following his legal petition to terminate a conservatorship. Filed on August 14, Oher alleges that Leigh Anne and Sean Tuohy, who took him in during his teenage years, misled him into believing he was adopted. According to his 14-page petition in a Tennessee court, the couple profited from his story while pushing a false narrative of adoption. Oher contends that they advisably entered into a conservatorship rather than a formal adoption, allowing the Tuohys to benefit from his name and likeness financially. Members of the Tuohy family have responded, claiming there was "never an intent to adopt" Oher and asserting that their relationship with him was meant to provide short-term support that evolved over time. The Tuohys deny any wrongdoing and maintain that they acted in Oher's best interest. Oher’s allegations suggest that critical elements of his story have been misrepresented, opening discussions about exploitation and the truth behind his life story as depicted in the film. He emphasizes that the narrative presented to the public is fraudulent, prompting legal action against the Tuohy family.

Who Is Michael Oher

Who Is Michael Oher?

Michael Oher, the former NFL player whose life story inspired the Oscar-winning film "The Blind Side," has recently spoken out about his legal disputes with the Tuohy family. Known for his exceptional talent and hard work, Oher played college football at the University of Mississippi, earning unanimous All-American honors and was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in 2009. His journey from homelessness and poverty in Memphis to NFL success is notably depicted in "The Blind Side." However, Oher has alleged that the Tuohys established a conservatorship over him for their benefit rather than adopting him legally.

Six months after learning of his non-adoption status, he sought to terminate this conservatorship, which a Tennessee judge recently agreed to do. Oher's experiences and the portrayal of his life have raised questions about the accuracy of the film and the complexities of his relationship with the Tuohy family. His story highlights significant issues regarding representation and agency in narratives created about marginalized individuals. As part of this ongoing situation, a new CNN documentary aims to unravel the nuances of Oher's relationship with the Tuohys, revealing a story that extends beyond the confines of a film narrative.

What Happened To Sean Tuohy Jr.

What Happened To Sean Tuohy Jr.?

Sean Tuohy Jr., known as SJ, has held various roles in athletics, currently serving as the associate athletics director and chief of staff for football at the University of Central Florida since 2021. He is also the executive director of the Kingdom NIL, the official collective for UCF athletics. Recently, Tuohy Jr. addressed allegations made by former NFL player Michael Oher on Barstool Sports Radio. Oher, whose life inspired the film "The Blind Side," alleged that the Tuohy family never officially adopted him, but rather misled him into signing a conservatorship agreement.

Following these claims, a Tennessee judge concluded the conservatorship that Sean and Leigh Anne Tuohy held over Oher. The Tuohys have been accused by Oher of exploiting his story for profit and maintaining that they did not earn significant income from the film. Tuohy Jr., who attended Loyola University Maryland and played basketball, is the son of Leigh Anne and Sean Tuohy. Although Oher’s inspiring journey from poverty to the NFL was depicted positively in "The Blind Side," recent legal actions have highlighted a narrative of betrayal, with Oher stating in court documents that he felt exploited by the Tuohys for their benefit, rather than being genuinely adopted into their family.

Did The Tuohy Family Adopt Michael Oher

Did The Tuohy Family Adopt Michael Oher?

Michael Oher, the former NFL player whose life story inspired the film "The Blind Side," has brought allegations against the Tuohy family, claiming they never legally adopted him and instead kept him in a conservatorship for their financial gain. In court documents, Oher stated he discovered only in February 2023 that he had not been adopted by Sean and Leigh Anne Tuohy. The Tuohys, who took Oher into their home during his high school years, asserted in their legal response that they never intended to adopt him and have only referred to him as their son in a "colloquial sense." They categorically denied any allegations of financial exploitation.

Oher's lawsuit further contends that the narrative presented in "The Blind Side" misrepresents his situation and that the Tuohys falsely suggested he was adopted, rather than being placed under conservatorship. The Tuohys are now prepared to terminate the conservatorship. This legal dispute has drawn significant attention, underscoring the complexities of their relationship and Oher's personal journey.

The case raises questions about the portrayal of Oher's story in popular media and the realities behind the scenes that differ from cinematic representations. Oher is seeking legal closure concerning his dealings with the Tuohys.

What Were The Tuohys Accused Of?

Michael Oher, the subject of the Oscar-winning film "The Blind Side," has made serious allegations against Sean and Leigh Anne Tuohy, claiming they misrepresented themselves as his adoptive parents and exploited him financially for nearly two decades. A recent court filing outlines Oher's accusation that the Tuohys falsely advised him to enter into a conservatorship instead of a legal adoption, which he only learned about this year. Oher has claimed in his legal petition that the couple deceived him into signing documents that established their conservatorship, allegedly depriving him of a true family relationship.

In response, the Tuohys have denied all wrongdoing, asserting that they never intended to adopt Oher formally and that his claims of exploitation are outrageous and part of a "shakedown." They also allege that Oher attempted to extort them for $15 million through threats, detailing communications that they interpret as a demand for money. In December 2023, a Tennessee judge officially ended the Tuohy family's conservatorship over Oher.

The 37-year-old former NFL player has called for accountability, highlighting that the Tuohys potentially misused over $2. 5 million in profits related to his story, which has sparked a broader debate about the representations and implications of their relationship, both socially and legally.

Did The Tuohys Trick Michael Oher Into Signing A Conservatorship?

Michael Oher, the retired NFL player whose life inspired the Oscar-winning film "The Blind Side," has recently spoken out regarding his lawsuit against the Tuohy family. Oher claims that Sean and Leigh Anne Tuohy deceived him into signing a conservatorship when he was 19, under the false pretense that it was an adoption. In his legal filings, Oher alleges that the Tuohys exploited him and profited from his story, misrepresenting their relationship as one of adoption while actually placing him under a conservatorship that limited his rights.

In a 14-page petition filed in Shelby County, Tennessee, Oher asserts that he was misled into believing that the arrangement he signed was an adoption agreement. His discovery of the conservatorship documents in February led him to realize that the Tuohys had never adopted him, challenging the narrative portrayed in the film. The Tuohys have denied these allegations, asserting that they did not trick Oher into this legal arrangement.

They pointed out that, due to Oher being over 18, adoption was not an option, leading them to pursue a conservatorship instead. Oher seeks to terminate this conservatorship, claiming he was misled and exploited by the Tuohys for nearly two decades.

The Tuohys maintain strong family values, and their life story gained significant attention through "The Blind Side," a film based on their experience with Michael Oher, a homeless teenager they helped.

This revelation has caused turmoil, as Leigh Anne expressed devastation over Oher’s claims. Does Michael Oher Have A Relationship With Any Of The Tuohys?

Michael Oher, the former NFL player whose life inspired the film "The Blind Side," filed a court petition claiming he was misled by the Tuohy family regarding their relationship. He alleged that he discovered in February 2023 that the conservatorship he consented to—not adoption—did not provide him with a familial bond to the Tuohys. Oher stated that after "The Blind Side" was released, his relationship with the Tuohys soured due to its portrayal of him as unintelligent, despite previously enjoying his time with them.

He noted, however, that he had never been officially adopted by the family and felt exploited for their benefit. Oher’s lawyer reiterated that his bond with the Tuohy family began to deteriorate after the film's premiere, creating significant tension. In response, the Tuohys denied Oher’s claims, insisting they treated him fairly and shared film profits equally, including a payout of about $138, 000, affirming they did not benefit more than he did.

Furthermore, Oher remarked on their previous closeness and indicated that his experience with the family wasn't negative. As of August 2023, he accused the Tuohys of tricking him into signing the conservatorship under the guise of adoption, arguing against the family's narrative as depicted in public and media.

  • Michael oher really said he was a kid who was well on his way prior to meeting the tuohys, Yet he had a .7 GPA The tuohys got him a tutor to work with him everyday to make him NCAA eligible. They got his GPA up to a 2.2 I’m not judging either party until all the facts come out but there is a strong chance that without the tuohys intervention, he would not be where he is today.

  • What the interviewer said is KEY aand PARAMOUNT…….what ppl THINK they know about him or his story. I’ve seen some very cruel judgmental comments about him and I stayed silent because this was a family issue and only the ppl involved have a legitimate comment’s options and concerns. I’m glad he had this interview and with a respectful interviewer.

  • That’s just disrespectful. That family took that dude in and did everything to help him. Now that he is no longer playing football he is trying to sell a fake story and paint the family in a bad light. SMH what’s messed up is he completely contradicts himself in his book. Saying he knew it was a conservatorship and not an adoption and that he had a .7 gpa and was homeless. But now he was supposedly well on his way before he met the family.

  • Imagine you’re a great swimmer who got strained in the middle of the ocean. You found a floating object. You hung on to it until help arrived. After you get rescued, you then tell the world that you never needed that floating object from the beginning. You’re a great swimmer and could have survived without it.. A block of steel has the potential to become a sharp knife, but without a blacksmith, it will forever stay a block of steel. Potential without guidance is like an ember without wind. Could have, would have, should have.

  • In Africa we have a saying “The thanks of a donkey is a kick”. What he’s doing to the Tuohy Family is beyond disgusting and sad. The Tuohy family is not poor and they definitely don’t need his money. He on the other hand…… blew his money and now he’s going after the only people who saw potential in him.

  • I am a little bit confused by who exactly wrote the book and if MIchael was consulted. I think it is wrong to write a book about someone else’s personal life. I saw a similar situation where a family wrote a book (which was subsequently also made into a movie) about their son who had died from cancer. Much of the book covered the personal relationship between him and his girlfriend/wife. When I saw an interview with his widowed wife (he died shortly after they were married) I was stunned when she said she did not know anything about the book/movie. She had not been consulted at all. The movie seemed to indicate that she became a nurse to dedicate her life to helping others because of this experience and that he was her one true love. In reality, she was now happily married and had two kids. She actually seemed a little embarrassed to be blind sided (no pun intended) Clearly the parents of this young man had a very different perspective than the woman who was described in the movie. I wonder if there is a similar dynamic here.

  • A man who believed he was ADOPTED to later find out he was placed in a conservatorship and what a conservatorship actually means deserves a chance to be heard without people ASSUMING he is the bad guy. It is concerning to me as a critical thinker that Mrs Tuohy has openly stated she adopted this man when clearly she did not!? Of course they did nice things for him as we all should do for others who need something that we can provide. That does not mean there is NO CHANCE he could have been exploited because he could have been!!!! It’s not unheard of! Movies are made for entertainment. Michael has said things about the movie bothered him for a long time. Now if he has legitimate questions about financial gains based on a book and a movie that WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN MADE WITHOUT HIM – he has that right. I have read the court docs and I am well versed about conservatorships and in my OPINION – which I am allowed to have my own – I think there are some questions this family needs to answer. ❤❤❤

  • So he is ungrateful to the foster family. He is entitled to write a book to try to make some money from his own story, so I don’t have a problem with that, but if he was so all powerful and standing on his own and aged 18 when the Touheys came along, then why did he accept a home with them? Something doesnt ring true about him and his remarks. “Methinks he doth protest too much”.

  • Wow, sadly those who financed the movie already came out and confirmed what the family said they were paid minus the talent fee they probably never saw. Oher benefited from this movie financially more than Tuohy family ever did, the hype im sure generated higher salaries in the NFL that otherwise would have been trying to get him at a bargain. Tak tsk. Truly sad how this has all played out.

  • I think Michael got to talkin to the black folks and over time was convinced that they withheld money from him. I see no evidence that that happened other than him saying so. Hopefully the Court case will bring out the truth. I really don’t think the Tuhoys did anything wrong. I just think that the black community hated that movie so much and this is the revenge. The Tuhoys have said multiple times: “We love Michael just as much today as we did when he was 18 and we will give Michael money if he feels he is owed it, but not $15 million. That amount is simply not reasonable. NO ONE, repeat NO ONE made anything close to a million dollars on the Blind Side except the production company and the stars of the movie.” I BELIEVE THEM!

  • I never truly thought he was adopted at 18 years old. I always thought that was just something to say because they were all close. I’ve had people through out my life I’ve called brother or sister and no blood related. Just a sense of closeness. I’m unsure why he had a conservative ship after he got drafted tho..even all the way into his late 30s tho.

  • I’m sorry, but the timing of this, is suspect. He had many years here to dispute these things, but never did until now. See God giveth, and God sometimes does, Taketh away. Time will tell all, as truth does come out whether the parties in the story want it too, or not. How Old is he now? He had time and if so, he should have done this in a private setting, not publically. As usual, it looks as if his star is waning and he needed desperate attention, but regardless of the reason, the truth of the matter remains, and it will come forth. It always does.

  • That family helped him without their help he most likely wouldn’t be where he is at. When you get scholarships you still have to pay for your books, clothes and food and droms or apartment none of that is for free. This is a very sad situation anyone or everyone should be grateful he said it himself he wasn’t the brightest and thoses people paid for him to have a tutor and that isn’t cheap either. He was a young kid please be grateful for what you have and what they have given you…. Him saying it’s not about the money then what it about your smartness or that you don’t want your kids to know you had low scores. Who cares you were a kid that was saved from falling in the cracks of not having the best of parents. They say your dad was talented in sports yet where did that get him not many that are raised in the projects get out on their own… You would need to get out on your own and that’s one of the hardest things to do. Dennis Rodman got out because he had a loving mother that gave him that strength.

  • What a selfish, nasty man he is. He’s earned over $34 million in his career. Partly because this family took him in, loved and supported him. He may not have become anywhere near as successful, without that help, at a crucial time. Basically the Tuohy told THEIR story, and made a few million. They are perfectly entitled to do that. Hollywood film companies NEVER tell the whole, correct story. That’s a fact of life. His legal action smacks very much of greed, and selfishness, to me. I guess, helping someone at the age of 17 or 18, it’s too late to change the morals, ethics, and appreciation of the personality, that’s already been formed. He clearly doesn’t need to sue them, unless he’s blown the incredible wealth he’s already come into. Shame on you Micheal.

  • Mr Oher is not being straight. Read his first book I believe was published in 2011. He admired he was not adopted but a conservatorship. He was never on his way to his dream on his own. His grades in school was failing grades he could never get the chance to get into college if it wasn’t for the Tuohy family commitment to help him. The Tuohy family were already very wealthy and didn’t need the money. Mr Tuohy was a very connected man and the Tuohys made this happen. Mr Oher admitted all of this. His case will be throw out. Why would CBN do this interview and not do their due diligence? All these comments and opinions and most is based off emotion and not facts. The Tuohy family is no where perfect but Mr Oher has a lot of pride and lacks honor to the Tuohy family. Very sad Christianity is drug the the mud once again… Movies based upon a true story are not 100% accurate nor can a movie be absolutely 100%.

  • God’s word warns Brothers and Sisters in Christ of going against each other in a court of law. I’m very disappointed this young man with his foster family could not or did not or would not reconcile make amends or make right what ever needed to be done in private between each other. No good can come of it when you shame the name of Christ. When folks are coerced and cajoled into letting “Hollywood” leave out the rest of the story- the most important part of the story- or make parts of the story up- as most folks seem to do.. theres bound to be conflict and resentment in the mix. TO MR. ORR, Young man pray about it and do what is right because what you’re doing and how you’re doing it is not right- God is your judge- you give account for ONLY your life to God- everyone else in your family foster family etc will also- shoulder- to-shoulder with you before God. Best to settle that stuff here- it’s a fearful thing to fall into the hands of an Angry God. TO CBN, This was not covered in a God honoring way As a Christian news agency should have.. I’m disappointed in you as well- exactly where was your “WWJD” at in this situation? As my grandma would say.. this is ugly and God don’t like ugly.

  • So sad. BLM got to him and now he is hurting the family who loved and took care of him. His adult trauma is about the lies he now believes from the BLM movement. I can’t believe he’s taking the family that took him in to court. He should be ashamed of himself, honestly. He’s telling a whole different story than he told before. It’s just sad.

  • It makes me mad that the tuohy family claims to of brought him in like a son “clothing him, feeding him” and justifying keeping millions like he owes them? Wasn’t that all supposed to be out of the goodness of their hearts? They need to pay him back every dime cuz I believe what ever they paid to clothe and feed him is chump change compared to what they kept! F’em!

  • Basically something that people need to consider When you write a tell allnovel and it Involves someone with celebrity status The book before it is published is vetted up and down So during that process of due diligence obviously something was discovered that michael oher was unaware of hense the lawsuit

  • I believe Michael, it’s very easy to ignore what you’re signing when you believe that somebody loves you. And that they want you to be part of their family, I’ve been gone that way so many times, but not for money.😢 Michael may not have understood anything about conservatorship/adoption, the difference, etc. especially being excited about the prospect of a family

  • He would have been the same now as he was before the family took him in them taking him in made him, I didn’t get from the movie he was illiterate only poorly educated. They should have left him there and taken one of the thousands of other kids in his position most would be grateful for the opportunity not think they were used

  • This situation is truly saddening. It’s putting Christians up to public scrutiny. Unbelievers look for any opportunity to try to discredit belief in the one true God, and his Son, Jesus. I think that any of us that aren’t totally familiar with all of the details of this situation, need to be very cautious about speaking against either Michael or the family. I’m assuming that he probably is saved, and that the Tuohy’s are probably saved. So, it’s very regrettable for a Christian to file a lawsuit against another Christian, unless a mediation by the church was tried first, but failed to resolve the situation. I pray that whatever the entire truth of the situation is, that healing of the relationship of both parties can happen. That’s the thing that will glorify The Lord.

  • I’m really happy for him that he has a good life now. He should’ve always had it. Maybe it’s a little late or not so nice to be coming now and saying that his story wasn’t represented the right way. He should’ve done something then. What I don’t agree with is him getting married now, if that’s the case, after the children. You don’t live in sin, fornicate, have children and then decide to get married after you had them. And his wife’s wedding dress is really immodest as a Christian woman. I desire all the best for him and his family, but those are some things he’s got to work on. I know CBN needs a story and they want to help him as well as be politically correct, but first and foremost they have to honor God’s Word and I’m afraid to say they haven’t with this story as well. Honor God first! I really liked the movie, unfortunately I don’t know what happened. This is not the first time movie producers twist the story to make money. It’s happened many times. God bless Michael and his family.

  • sad….. this is a book endorsement of an individual that has let fame and greed take over his life….and has clearly been tutored at the art of playing the millionaire victim i can almost guarantee there is a flock of scummy vultures, disguised as lawyers and finger scratching family members….but….. what a great soul he has….um…yeah

  • This whole situation seems funny to me. Saw a post a while ago saying Michael’s wife Tiffany Roy got really negatively involved in his relationship with the Tuohy’s. Unsure if it’s true or not but if outsiders are pushing convincing him they didn’t help then that’s pretty petty. On the other hand though the Tuohy’s have also been accused of doing it for personal gain. I don’t know I’m not going to believe either side this is something they can figure out of their own. SJ still says the movie is right on point so I’ll keep the movie as a good memory rather than relate it to this fight between them.

  • Sending hugs, love, and prayers to you, Michael and your beautiful family. You were robbed, regardless of what’s being said. The movie alone, did such a great disservice to you, and I understand, why you didn’t like it. I am glad what was done in the dark, has been exposed by the LIGHT, because the Truth, Who is our Lord and Messiah/Saviour – YESHUA/JESUS CHRIST, always prevails. I am glad your TRUE story is being revealed, which is tremendously POWERFUL, and heartbreaking, yet, BEAUTIFUL – all at the same time. Beautiful, because of who you REALLY are, and not what you were depicted as: your character, your determination, your drive, all the hard work you put in, your intelligence, your resilience through it all. You definitely had to have a strong mentality to overcome those odds, and of course, your GOD-given talent – all that you had accomplished, prior to meeting that family. Heartbreak, because of the situations, they’re truly sad, and I can’t even imagine the pain and suffering you’ve had to endure, BUT it made you stronger and have allowed you to be in a position to help others, and that’s the POWER – Your story or testimony, and the ability to help others. You TRIUMPHED, even when (by design), you weren’t suppose to survive and overcome. Block out all the noise, remain STRONG and very courageous – you come from a line of mighty WARRIORS (referencing JACOB aka ISRAEL, King David – your true history) it’s in your blood. The True and Living JESUS loves you and He will never fail you.

  • Thank you Mr. Oher for having the desire to help kids to have a future even if their current situation is not so promising. I am truly sorry that the family that we were all led to believe was your saving grace, end up swindlers. I look forward to reading your book. I watched “The Blind Side” several times and thought what a great opportunity for Michael and thank goodness this family was willing to help. I am so sorry that the movie did not tell your story. I knew it was too good to be true and that there must be more. I guess I was hoping that fairy tales do come true. But the real world of.hope.and .dreams does not have room for selfishness and nonfactual story telling.. Good luck with your family and I am wishing the best for you.

  • Not being rude or anything like it. But how could his back been against the wall, when he had all this help ?! Then playing college football & in the Nfl.(two books written) I could see before that.. I feel if a individual has to blame someone. Go to where it started !! It’s about the money as usual.. He just admitted that he wasn’t the smartest or athletic. I’m not saying he is a bad person.””” So he wants money for a movie that wasn’t quit true ???? Think about that !!!

  • I don’t care what anybody say, thing guy comes as disingenuousnes,he want to sell his book so of course he cant tell the story we already know, its said he’s been estrange from thouys fot 10 years so they wasn’t as close as portrayed, but i believe he wouldn’t be were he’s at without the stability that family gave him

  • If this goes to court and the Tuohy’s present evidence that Other threatened to plant a story for the money, 1. No one of a different skin n color will help a black ever a again, and 2. This could sever harmony between the races for another 30 to 40 years….. Other may be intelligent, but apparently he’s not intelligent enough to know when he’s being played.

  • The rich never stop being hungry for more money. There was no reason to put jim in a conservatorship anyway. One his legal guardianship sign her parental rights away. Which she did. Adoption would of been easy. They played him. Even if he did get some money like the brother claimed. It was significantly less than the parents and it was HIS STORY, HIS STRUGGLE. I honestly think if he was just an ordinary black child in the street and not a ALREADY DRAFTED NFL PLAYER. They wouldnt have help. Look how they allowed him to be played in the movie.

  • If he was so smart, so athletic, was already in all these sports, then why did he even let this family take him in, let him be a part of their family, and do all the things that they didn’t even have to do…., it’s really sad. Even in his first book, he mentioned the Conservatorship, so he was aware of what it was. I’m sorry, I don’t feel sorry for this man, but I do praise him for trying to give back to fatherless children.

  • You have to listen to the BOTH sides to learn the truth. Many in the comments are ignorant. The kid had already won a sports scholarship when the family found him. Whether the family was there or not, he would still have made it. Also they should have sought his consent before making the movie or should never had made a movie. The movie yells for pick me vibes and social virtue signaling
