I had to speed it up a bit because I had so much to say! #family #shoppingbasket #giftbasket #clearance #blackfriday …
Thanks for the time check tip. During the previous clearance sale, I went to 2 stores near me and the first one wasn’t open despite the time saying it should have been. The second store I went to in the evening and despite the closing time stating it should be open, I drove there to find it closed for the night. I wondered what’s going on so this makes sense the announcement of stores closing because these probably will. I’m going to stop in those stores tomorrow and ask employees if they are closing!
And I wanted to say it’s a very sad goodbye because I love family Dollar like crazy. They have been such a blessing to me and my family and I pray that them making cots didn’t hurt them and their family too bad. They have been great to everyone and the community, probably all around the United States. Thank you for all of your help and having this 50% off. I finally as a single mom was able to get some very good shampoo so I’m praying that is good. It’s a Garnier fructis and I always wanted to get it and I never was able to get it. So thank you so much for having that 50% off. You don’t know how much it has blessed not only me I’m sure a lot of families can. Please count your blessings. They didn’t have to do this. The store did not have to do this. So count your blessings. I’m grateful everyone that’s going to the store I’m sure is truly truly grateful. So thank you once again. I hope this message gets to family Dollar and Dollar tree on how much he has blessed so many low-income families and those who are homeless. So please hang on to the rest of your stores if you can. Love you family Dollar and good shopping everyone
I just experienced this and you’re right you definitely need something to help you carry some of that stuff. The only thing I didn’t like is I wish they could have had like express line and online if you had just a few items because there were a lot of senior citizens that was standing in that line and it looked like they needed a chair and so it would been better if they had like express line and someone could have like said okay. You go ahead to the elderly but the elderly had to stand in the same line as everyone else and and it was a long wait. So if you’re an elderly and you can send your young person in the family, please do so. Or if you got some church young members that will help you bring some young people along young arms to help you carry your things to around the store and to your car
Thanks. just fyi. My store showed regular 10 pm closing time and was near the end of the time before closing. I have not been able to find any stores with a 7 pm closing time, even if closing. Also I did get charged full price on 4 items and didn’t notice until I got home, an hour away. Since it was all sales final, I just dealt with it, and didn’t think it was worth the gas and time to drive back since they were edible food items, but not very good. Didn’t think they would refund the difference and I was overcharged about $13. When I was in there just after they started the closing process, a delivery person came in with a delivery. The cashier said she didn’t think they would have any more deliveries. Delivery guy said manager told him to keep delivering until they actually closed. Not sure if that means that the inventory will keep changing. Cashier did tell us that they would not go any lower than 75% off but I see they may go 90% off in articles and comments. They close tomorrow night at 7. My sister and I got a LOT with several times doing in store when they went to 50% off and then again at 75% off but truth be told, we probably went a little crazy, LOL.
They just put up a 30% Everything must go, sign! A bit shocking since this location was just remodeled and reopened. Luckily I have about 6more within a 8mile radius, but this was the closest to my home. Just went in for a few balloons and the store employees already appeared to be stressed and overworked. Glad Rose’s hasn’t went anywhere. I will be making a trip back up the street after getting my list together, I fear if I wait to the 50% to go into place…there will not be anything left.
I am a manager of a rural family Dollar which the company decided not to renew the lease due to low sales . Although this article is informative from a consumers point of view there is so much more behind the scene. Its saddens my heart that my employees whom have been serving the community in this one store since 2002, 2007 until this current date is now out of jobs because of high shink low sales. Our store has been know for the best organized, clean and its superb customer service yet we are closing due to its community of farmers which have grown older. Not to mention there are two other family Dollars within a few miles in urban settings that is smashing us in sales but arent as nearly well kept managed nor is the customer service a priority.😢 My store is in its finally week of closing and its so sad to see people that have traveled miles just to recieve a deal and to treat you rudely and to trear your store apart
the dollar tree and family dollar merger is a disaster. No money spent to upgrade stores, employees not getting any good wages or benefits, under staffed stores, too many products clogging up lanes. Govt agency hit them lawsuits and fines and the CEO and board of directors not doing much to help, just screwing everyone over (workers, customers, tax collection and poor neighborhoods )
I think they’re closing to reopen in smaller buildings. People order through a app and drive up and get their stuff. Something like Sonic drives in but bigger. I think the public won’t be able to go in and browse. It’s going to make allot of food deserts. Time to start making a garden, learn how to bake bread. Get a fishing license. Learn about wild edibles . Community gardens are going to be taken more seriously. I believe the other food chains will follow suit.
I live in a sm. town N.C and it has 1 Dollar Tree and 1 Family Dollar. Every corner they have a Dollar General. Moved from Va to N.C another sm town had 2 D.T but since i moved, they added a few .had 3 or 3 or 4 Family Dollars and more than 10 D.G and a D.G market.never seen or heard of a combined F. D /D.T. sounds weird because D.T has a plus section so unless it’s a half of store is D.T and other half F.D it would be very confusing. WHAT state(s) are they in. Only big cities? No clue where this YouTuber shopped
