Is Family Guy Ending In 2024?

Disney-owned shows The Simpsons, Family Guy, and Bob's Burgers were all renewed for two additional seasons in January 2023, ensuring their presence on Fox until the 2024-25 TV season. However, when Fox unveiled its 2024-25 schedule, Family Guy was notably absent. Currently in its 22nd season, creator Seth MacFarlane has expressed no intentions of ending Family Guy soon. As the show prepares for Season 23, it will shift from Sunday to Wednesday nights, marking a significant schedule change.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding its fall schedule absence, Fox Television Network President Michael Thorn provided insights into the move. Notably, Family Guy celebrated its 25th anniversary this year, having first premiered on January 31, 1999. With the recent two-season renewal announced in January 2023, it guarantees that the Griffins will remain on the network through the 2024-25 television season. MacFarlane reiterated that, at least in the foreseeable future, Family Guy is not nearing its end, solidifying its position as a staple of animated programming on Fox.

Why Did They Replace Meg On Family Guy

Why Did They Replace Meg On Family Guy?

Lacey Chabert originally voiced Meg Griffin in season 1 of Family Guy but was replaced by Mila Kunis, who became the iconic voice of the character. Chabert left the show amicably to focus on her education and her role in Party of Five. She was still in school while working on Family Guy, making it challenging to juggle both responsibilities, leading to her decision to exit the series. Although some rumors circulated about her being fired, they were unfounded. While the main cast remained intact since the show's inception, Chabert's departure led to Kunis stepping in as the second actress to voice Meg. Kunis’s portrayal became synonymous with the character, overshadowing Chabert’s initial performance, which was uncredited.

Additionally, Chabert expressed her love for the show despite her exit and has not publicly shown resentment over the recasting or Kunis's success. The transition was largely contractual rather than dramatic, with production schedules affecting the decision. Since both actresses have voiced Meg, the character has undergone notable changes in personality, generating discussions among fans. Ultimately, Chabert's original role as Meg Griffin remains a significant part of Family Guy’s early years, although her time on the show was short-lived.

  • Seth McFarlane 11/26/73 – 9/11/01 He was a cartoon creator behind the animated sitcom Family Guy. 30 episodes were broadcast over three seasons. Tragically McFarlane lost his life after boarding American Airlines flight 11 from Boston to LA which was hijacked and diverted to hit the North Tower of the World Trade Center. He is now regarded as a genius gone too soon, many believe that the series would’ve gone on to run for over 20 seasons and be merchandised internationally. The creators of South Park Trey Parker and Matt Stone went on to say it would’ve been greater than their show. If Only……

  • I was expecting Adam West to come onto the stand and say “9/11 was good”. Everyone in the room goes shocked and accuses Lois for saying such a heartless thing even though they fucking saw Adam go onto the podium. Adam then pulls out a picture of Osama and starts worshiping him. Lois enraged by all this pulls out her gun and shoots Adam. One of the bunsel people looks out the window and sees a plane heading it’s direction. Everyone then starts panicking and the plane crashes into the building. It then cuts to Tom Tucker on the news saying “9/11 has happened again”. A plane also crashes into the news station and rants saying that everyone is poopS
