Angelina saying “get over it” is… crazy. Ron & Sam had one of the most toxic relationships on television at one point. Imagine what happened behind the scenes. The stuff they went through and did to each other… you don’t just get over it. I still remember Ron destroying Sam’s stuff like it was yesterday. Imagine what she remembers.
I give Sam mad props for even agreeing to that. She was mistreated so badly and nobody ever did anything about it, they just acted like it was normal or like she was somehow responsible. I’ve never forgotten how traumatic those early seasons were for her so the fact that she’s sitting there politely around a group of people that never showed up for her, should earn respect from everyone. Says a lot about who she is as a person and I don’t even “idolize” famous people like that but nobody gives her the credit she deserves

Think a lot of people are failing to realise that although we watched Sam & Ron’s relationship from the start we also need to remember we saw what they wanted us to see, we don’t know what she dealt with behind closed doors etc.. yeah they were younger but clearly more went on than we know about, I applaud them both for the way they handled it, Sams no reason to speak or greet him right away if it feels right to speak to him she will when she’s ready, but on the flip side I’m so happy the whole cast is back ❤
Sam has Ronpage PTSD like Angelina had Jenni PTSD. A lot of them were traumatized by each other. It was like they walked a piranha in the room, showed it to Sam, and then took it out. She was like, okay, I don’t want to pet it or anything, touch it. She is done with it. Ron thinks it is a silly joke. Some people, no matter how nice you are to them, they want to try to take a bite out of you.
People who think Sammi shoul’ve been nicer to Ron are delulu, have we been perusal the same show? First he’s a lying cheater who made her summers on the shore a confusing af fever dream, more recently he’s been charged with domestic violence (while on probation) confirming everyone’s opinions about him, and lets not bring up the Sammi doll they were playing with during the first season of Family Vacation which used clips of moments he was essentially tormenting her. I am just glad the rest of the group finally hanging out with her cause Ronnie was not the one they shoulda kept around. Great he’s working on himself, but its feeling to late to make him a better person in Sammi’s eyes. MTV can spin the narrative every which way but one sit through of the entire series with spin offs shows Ronnie is a POS and Sammi is in the right. if MTV was smart, they would’ve left Ronnie out.
You know it’s crazy because this show came out when I was 13 years old and I thought the drama between Ron and Sam was hilarious. Now as a grown man at close to 30 years old, rewatching the original seasons, it’s actually insane how horrible Ron was to Sam. He was so manipulative and emotionally abusive to her and she was so in love she looked past it all and dealt with it. I don’t blame her for never wanting to come back and shocked she agreed to do it this far into the reunion series. She’s definitely the bigger person here in a lot of ways.
i feel like ron was respectful, he acknowledged her & said hello, which sam didn’t reply to, they’re obviously not at the point to where they could just hug each other like he did with all the other female roomies but it did look awkward when she didn’t even say hello back. it’s a long process of ron righting his wrongs so i hope they’ll at least get to a point where they’ll be able to be in the same space together & be cordial.

I think Ron’s attitude was appropriate . He didn’t go out of his way to make her feel some Type of way . Like he really is there to mend relationships with his roomies . On the other hand Sam did great i just wish she would have at least said hello to show a little more maturity on her end . Coming from a toxic, narcissistic involvement, and I would’ve seen the guy that destroyed me – I would’ve kept quiet like she did, I would’ve been polite, not looking at him but my heart would’ve been on the floor. I would’ve been so comforting to Sammy because I would want someone to do that for me. Being in the same room with someone who broke you is not easy. She handled that really well.

I watched every episode of the original Jersey shore when they were dating and they were both equally toxic, but last I checked, only she put her hands on him. He never put his hands on her. She punched him square in the jaw and he never retaliated. Honestly, Sam doesn’t owe any one, anything. You could tell in her expressions that her anxiety was starting to flare a little, but she was putting on a brave face for everyone. For everyone laughing and joking about how “Ron’s here,” it’s just yuck to me. Ron should have never been invited in the first place. It’s wild to me that they wanna keep the friend group the same when he clearly abused Sam. It feels fake and seedy. She should be cutting her losses because this is just wrong on every level.

I feel like had Sam gave Mike a chance instead of Ronnie in the beginning, then she would’ve saved herself so much heartache. Mike was always nice to her and would even slip her tidbits about Ronnie’s indiscretions. I feel like her choosing Ronnie over him hit his ego but even on the show Mike was never as sloppy, aggressive, or rude as Ronnie.
