Does A Family Member’S Departure Impact Dogs?

3.5 rating based on 195 ratings

Dogs can be affected by a family member moving out, as they form close bonds with their owners and other family members. Studies show that dogs exhibit increased stress and behavioral changes when their owners are absent, and they miss family members like children. Dogs have emotions, but they cannot express them in words.

To understand a dog’s emotional state after losing a loved one, it is important to keep an eye out for certain signs that can affect their health. Consider leaving your dog with a friend or family member, or in kennels during the move. Moving can stress dogs out and lead to behavior changes, sometimes culminating in anxiety and aggression. Dogs are animals of habit, so changes in their routines can deeply impact them.

Some dogs suffering from separation anxiety become agitated when their guardians prepare to leave, while others seem anxious or depressed prior to their guardians’ departure or when their guardians aren’t present. Long-term separation or loss can cause dogs to suffer bereavement and get depressed, not unlike humans. Dogs are resilient, and they will miss you and be happy to see you when you are around. They may also experience grief in some form, but they are more concerned with those closest to them and with changes to their everyday routine. Most dogs derive great comfort and anxiety relief when human family members are available, and without their presence, some are unable to cope.

Dogs can form deep bonds with other family pets and experience distress if an animal in the household dies. To help them deal with grief, it is essential to provide emotional support and understanding. A dog who has been comfortable with human absence in the family’s old schedule may start to whine or bark upon departure, be destructive when no one is around, and become more anxious. By providing emotional support and understanding, you can help your dog cope with the emotional impact of moving out and leaving their family.

Do Dogs Miss Their Owners If Rehomed?

Dogs have the capacity to miss their previous owners, especially when a strong bond has formed. Research indicates that most dogs experience stress and behavioral changes when separated from their owners and may demonstrate signs of depression and anxiety following rehoming. This is particularly true for dogs that have come from loving environments. They often grieve and take time to adjust to new homes, indicating that they recall their former caregivers. However, with time and care, dogs can establish new attachments to their new owners, although the adjustment process can differ based on individual temperament and experiences.

Studies show that dogs exhibit excitement and joy when reunited with their owners after absences, with a longer absence leading to a more enthusiastic greeting. Dogs remember positive associations with their past owners, which can affect their emotional state when rehomed. While it's natural for them to miss prior owners, they are resilient and can adapt to new homes given the right support. Creating a comforting space and necessary adjustments can help them cope with separation and transition. Ultimately, although dogs may never completely forget past owners, they are capable of bonding anew.

Do Dogs Get Sad When A Family Member Moves Away?

Yes, dogs can experience sadness and separation anxiety when their owners leave, even if they are with a trusted family member. They form strong bonds and may become unsettled or confused by the absence. Re-homing is especially stressful for dogs; they may exhibit depression and anxiety, especially when coming from a happy home, missing their previous owner and showing reluctance to engage in activities.

Changes in their environment, like a family member moving out, can lead to confusion and stress. For dogs closely attached to a departing family member, such as a child, signs of distress akin to separation anxiety often emerge.

Recent studies reveal that dogs not only feel distress when they see their owners sad but actively seek to help. Environmental changes, like illness or death of a loved one, can provoke depression and grief in dogs. Behavioral changes are common among dogs that have been re-homed, potentially leading to anxiety or aggression. Recognizing signs of grief can be essential in helping your dog cope with loss. While dogs process emotions differently from humans, they do experience a range of feelings, including joy, sadness, and loss.

It's important for pet owners to understand their dog's emotional state and recognize that dogs do grieve, leading to behavioral changes when a valued companion or routine is disrupted.

Do Dogs Feel Abandoned When You Give Them Away?

Rehoming a dog can be a challenging experience, causing stress and confusion, particularly for those that have been with the same family for an extended period. Although dogs may not experience emotions like humans do, they can feel anxiety and uncertainty about their new circumstances. The extent to which a dog experiences feelings of abandonment and their ability to adapt to a new environment depends on various factors such as age, temperament, and prior living experiences.

Dogs do miss their previous owners and may feel sadness and confusion post-rehoming. They are, however, resilient animals capable of living in the moment. It’s common for dogs to go through a mourning period for their previous family and take time to acclimate in their new home. Emotional behaviors like whining or pacing may indicate anxiety or feelings of abandonment, especially during transitions.

Understanding the emotional landscape of dogs can help owners manage the rehoming process and offer support. Overall, while dogs do miss their former families, they generally recover fairly well with time, love, and care, showcasing their remarkable adaptability.

Do Dogs Miss People When They Move Out?

Studies indicate that dogs experience stress and behavioral changes in their owners' absence, missing family members, including children. They grieve, showing signs like reduced appetite and clinginess after losing companions. Upon reunion, dogs express their missed feelings through various behaviors. Research suggests dogs do feel a sense of longing, comparable to how humans experience loneliness when separated from loved ones.

While some dogs may show initial confusion or funk when owners leave, most will return to normal with time. Their emotional reactions can vary, influenced by the strength of their bond and individual resilience.

Dogs form strong positive associations with their human caregivers, making extended separations undesirable. Though unsure about the perception of time, dogs tend to react more joyfully after being alone for any length. When a family member, like a human, moves out, dogs also miss them. Despite the emotional depth of a dog's experience, they may not fully comprehend the permanence of an absence. Research supports that dogs remember and miss their owners, demonstrating affectionate behaviors upon their return. Do Dogs Miss Family Members?

Research shows that dogs miss their family members, such as children, when they are away for extended periods. They experience grief over the loss of both human and animal companions, often displaying symptoms like reduced appetite and clinginess. As loyal companions, dogs are viewed as family rather than mere pets. Evidence indicates that dogs form strong emotional bonds and can become distressed when their owners are absent, highlighting their capacity for feeling.

Signs that dogs miss their owners include waiting by the door, sleeping on their owner’s clothes, and exhibiting excited behavior upon their return. Even if dogs do not show these typical signs, they likely miss their owners. Studies have confirmed that dogs experience increased stress and behavioral changes in their owners' absence. While the duration of absence affects their mood—detection of feelings of sadness seems to begin immediately after separation and intensifies within the first couple of hours—dogs generally adapt over time.

Dogs experience emotional responses similar to humans, including depression or anxiety when faced with changes like the loss of a pet or human companion.

Will My Dog Forget Me When I Move Out?

Dogs have an exceptional ability to remember their owners, regardless of how long they've been apart. They form deep emotional bonds, making it almost impossible for them to forget their beloved humans, even after prolonged periods like months or years. While relocating can stress dogs, they typically adjust over time, especially if they have familiar items from their previous home. Despite new relationships, dogs recognize their original owners, and studies indicate that the longer the separation, the more joyful the reunion. Concerns about dogs forgetting their owners after brief absences are common, but it's unlikely for a well-bonded dog to forget someone after just a week.

Dogs maintain both short-term and long-term memories, enabling them to recognize and react positively to their owners, even after a long absence. Although changes in appearance, scent, or voice may initially create confusion, dogs generally remember their humans. Emotional responses can vary depending on the dog and its situation, but dogs do miss their owners when they're away, associating them with happy memories and experiences.

While they may take time to recognize you upon returning, rest assured, your dog will not forget you. In essence, dogs are resilient companions that remember their owners and look forward to reunions filled with joy.

How Long Do Dogs Miss Their Owners?

According to Adrienne Carson, Vice President of Behavior and Training at St. Hubert's Animal Welfare Center, there is no fixed duration for how long a dog might miss its owner, as every dog's emotional response is unique. Dogs can start missing their owners immediately after separation, with their sense of longing intensifying for up to two hours. After this period, feelings of melancholy tend to plateau until the owner returns. While new adoptions may lead some to believe dogs forget their previous owners quickly, studies show that dogs retain emotional memories, especially based on the length of their bond.

Signs of missing their owners may include increased stress and behavioral changes. Evidence indicates that dogs can also experience separation anxiety, which manifests through various behaviors such as whining or destructive chewing when left alone.

When reunited, many dogs exhibit joyful behaviors, demonstrating enthusiasm through actions like tail wagging or bringing toys. However, the degree of missing may depend on the dog's breed, age, and individual personality. Dogs likely go through a grieving process if their separation from owners is prolonged, which can last anywhere from days to weeks. Although they might not actively mourn for their old owners, dogs forge new attachments over time, retaining strong emotional connections to their current humans. Overall, dogs form deep emotional bonds similar to human relationships, reinforcing their tendency to miss their owners during separations.

  • One thing that isn’t mentioned is we attract CHILDREN/BABIES. I can’t even count the number of times that small children are drawn to smile at me, wave at me, walk up to me and talk to me, etc. Kids are drawn to me. And I respond to them. I can relate to them. Anyone else ever notice this? He mentioned “strange people” but that doesn’t mean kids are strange.

  • I hit all 10. I’m new to this journey and awakening after a person who never met me and is “gifted” looked at me and said “you are an empath and need to get guidance on controlling your gift because you are drowning in emotional absorption.” Those words changed my life and since then everything in my life from childhood to present makes so much sense. I have not been able to find a guide to help me learn how to turn it off and on but the more I learn about myself the more experiences I am having that are not explainable. It is a beautiful gift but is not always pleasant. Chronic headaches, exhaustion, anxiety, frustration, mood swings… I could go on. It’s not as simple as saying “just learn to control it” because it is a very unpredictable and out of control existence.

  • I feel things very deeply, and extremely sensitive to the energy, physical pain and mood of others. I’m 62 and recently met someone with whom I can finally trust and feel comfortable with. I drew this person in my sketchbook years before I met them, my ideal partner. My drawing became reality. Many of my yearnings are now becoming reality, maybe because I am finally letting go and letting things happen naturally according to my true spiritual path.

  • I have known for a long time about my spiritual gift, I was a Nurse for 22 years, everyone on my patients told me I was an Angel, I had a very special bond with all of them, I am DEFINITELY an Empath which made my job very, let’s say overwhelmingly emotional at times. I have experienced so many things with the afterlife and spirits. I most always have strangers walk up to me and just start telling me their life story. Dogs are my Love and Passion and trust me, they absolutely know it. I’ve had a few stray dogs just here lately that keep showing up again and again at my house like they have known me forever. I gave insomnia, it is 4:49 am right now, I just can’t sleep at night. But everything you spoke of in this article is me precisely. Thank You for confirming Have A Beautiful Day ❤

  • Being an empath and Psychic Medium, I feel EVERYTHING! Every minor change in my home, feeling of the people around me (that are not my own), loved ones of others coming to me with messages (when I’m not acquainted with the person)…it’s truly beautiful at its core, but it’s a heavy experience. I’m forever grateful for this gift.

  • Another aspect is that we often see things deeper, and in more detail. Sadly, most of society is shallow and they do not appreciate seeing beyond the superficial. I can post a positive quote or a beautiful photo of nature on social media….crickets…nothing. Others can post a shallow joke or a demeaning political meme and get a standing ovation. Such is life in being in the minority. You learn to accept it and grow with it

  • I contracted epilepsy after the age of 50. It’s changed everything. I now have some of the qualities that you talked about and feel more spiritually enlightened. As I come to accept my situation I’m opening up to the fact that another part of my brain has been awakened. As painful as the disease is it has some very interesting qualities that I never posed before….

  • 1 your am empath 2 you’re like a radar for sensing people’s moods. You can pick up negative energy in a room. 3 you wake up at sacred hours like 3-4 am. 4 your emotions affect your spiritual environment. Your intense and you need to try and contain. 5 Unwell strangers frequently approach them, Then You use your gift, (this always happens to me on the NYC subway) 6. Sensitive to the weather you know when it will change 7 you attract animals and you love them 8. Have time travel experiences like deja voo 9 like being alone and have a big imagination and like nature 10 insomnia and nightmares

  • I’m an empath. The first time I understand my gift. Im afraid of practicing it. But I’m used to it now and realize that it will help people. I do picture reading (for free) – and can tell the personality based on the picture. And sometimes see the past and future based on the picture given. That’s why I can asses the individual personality based on their past. But usually doing it to those I haven’t meet. And I can sense if the house has a good or bad energy. I can’t see ghost but I can sense them and sometimes describe them based on their energy. And sometimes see people aura. It’s a good skill for me because I can choose the best friends that I will have. And I must say, I have great circle of friends today. Based on this article. I must say that I have spiritual gift.

  • As a legit medium 50 yrs..from a kid..and I tried to be a spiritual person. I can tell you that it is not easy to feel “all the vibes.” We feel things deeply (as do many.) We cry for humanity tho we know this world is not our home. So, thank you. Most of what u post is very true!!! Very true!! Blessings! Jamie

  • My gift started when I was 7 yrs old. I had the same exact same dream about my father 14 days in a row. I didn’t understand what was going on & I woke up from the dream running to my mothers room everytime crying telling her I keep having this dream. But after that, I felt when things were about to happen with a ringing in my ear, I can feel people spirits if they’re good or bad, even not having conversations with them. I have 8 of the 9 things this article posted. I know it’s others out here like this because I feel them & had conversations with them. The energy is very strong. Thank you for this article.

  • I remember my mom praying with me every night when I was a little girl bc I was seeing things powerful things and I was afraid to fall asleep..but mom taught me how to pray so the good things can be manifested and the bad ones to go away..then she introduced me to Jesus..my best friend ever..I missed you mom every day

  • I was about to give up my life ..and i search for a prayer on youtube…and i stumble to this..and it makes me wonder about so many things….lets see how my life goes…….i dont care about what u think but i want to say that i can feel u and sense your thought just by looking at your eyes… and i never lose a street fight if im scared and focused….

  • Most recently, I did my best to bring awareness to my team players in a meeting concerning bullyness in the work place. One individual said she didn’t have the time to read it or she simply is not a reader. Negativeness like this can be unbearable. I was called in the office a few days later and felt like i was being attacked by my boss. I know my spiritual gifts and know that I am not using them for God;s Kingdom. Most children of God need to be trained on how to use them. Just like super heros, we must first put on our Armor before we go out into the battle. Amen I want to talk more, but I have to try to get some sleep and thank God for all of you sharing tonight. Brothers and Sisters stay strong good night.

  • On point. 100% on point. No lie. This article gave me goosbumps when I watched it, it describes me 100%. Except a few things not mentioned like, feeling dark forces at work(demons) in a room or any apartment or random place. Something or someone perusal you without knowing they’re there until you call out “is someone there”. Solving a problem when you have no idea how to solve it and yet you succeed at solving the problem. Knowing when not to approach someone or an animal or a thing that could ruin your day.

  • Throughout my life I have had numerous people state that I am beautiful both on the physical and spiritual (aura). I am a humble guy and do not allow myself to become arrogant due to that. That alone shows how strong my spiritual resolve is and fully recognize the gift God has given me as an adult. I am truly blessed 🙂

  • #13: People with spiritual gifts FEEL all the FEELS all the TIME. They are often frightened of themselves. More so than they are of others. Others’ emotions, they can handle (often with difficulty), but as long as they get to “go home” and recharge, they’ll sustain. The trouble starts when their own emotions boomerang and turn on them even more than usual. Therapists tell spiritually-gifted people to “feel the pain,” “deal with it,” and whatnot, but what those therapists don’t realize is that they’re prescribing the CAUSE of the problem as the CURE.

  • – ( ) OH L0rd, G0d almighty? I magnify y0ur name. Yaweh I give you all the glory f0r my life!! F0rgive my sins and my un c0nfessed sins L0d! L0d I want more of you and less 0f me! • Ever since I can remember, I have always been incredibly sensitive to what children and animals go through in this (hellish) world. As a result, I can’t watch articles about children who were murdered or animals that were rescued, or died due to abuse. I can feel the pain they went through explicitly and I have nightmares. I’ve always had a very strong bond with animals and children. This vid helped a lot, thank you!

  • I used to see demons while sleeping. I would wake up praying kneeling by my bed. Once, I had an attack at a cabin at the beach with my mom sleeping in the bed next to me. As I prayed and rebuked the spirit in my “supposed dream”, the demon sat on her legs and she could not move. This began to torment me. A minister gave me this advice: ” don’t ask God to take away the gift ask Him to turn down the volume so that you can tolerate your visions and pray effectively.” Let me tell you it was the best piece of advice . It still happens every once in a while but it doesn’t overwhelm me anymore. It was a process that taught me how to discern evil spirits when they are close or manifested in humans.

  • The person in my life who is an empath has had dramatic episodes when we have been in a crowd. She “senses” and “feels” the emotions of people around her who are in distress. She has physical reactions to their sadness and she has to fight to keep herself from being swallowed up in it. She always knows what people are thinking and can read “energy’ from people and places. She rarely has a good night’s sleep. People and children are drawn to her constantly for advice and even though she is very young, older people are drawn to her too. It’s been hard perusal her go through so much emotional trauma wherever she goes, but now I see that she is not alone. From reading the comments, I can now realize that there are others like her and you all have a challenging “gift” to learn to use to your advantage so that you are not drained by others. Don’t be afraid of it, just learn to go with it and protect yourself from overload. I wish everyone well with this ability.

  • Just felt so nostalgic when he mentioned abt animals. I have such a strong emotion towards animals and children that it hurts me when I see what they go through in this world.I can feel their pain by looking into their eyes. And it is so true Animals have some senses that are just beyond human capabilities to understand.

  • I wake every morning between 3-4AM. There is no doubt I’m am empath. Have known something will happen and it does. I’m 67 yr old woman..who at 14 yrs old told my mom (who was an alcoholic), we weren’t having Christmas that year. It was the first week of December I said those words. On December 18th, my mother took her life. It was my name she last spoke. I’ve lived my life knowing I had gifts..scared of them. Being an empath is like crawling thru emotional cement. Very glad I found this site..many thanks.

  • #14: Spiritually gifted people are obsessed with balance. That’s an oxymoron, but it’s true. They feel, sense, and know so much that equilibrium is critical to any and every situation. Other people are already balanced – ergo, they don’t need to obsess. They know 2+2=4. For those with spiritual gifts, the equation often comes out wrong – higher or lower than they want. Any great shift in their personal center, their core, can cause a bad snowball effect.

  • i’ve described most of these things to my mom since i was little, because i didnt understand why i was different and people always tried to take advantage of me. this just kind of assured what i knew inside, feels great and i feel honored to be like this, it’s not our fault that others do not appreciate what we can do for them if they treat us nicely. <3 always trust your heart and intuition <3 will never fail you, take it as your guardian angel guiding you through this wild ride called life <3

  • I had a lady actually heal me once. I was healing from the inside out after a hernia surgery and at work where I was leaking (gross) from my belly . I was really annoyed that I had to keep worrying about it. I’d gone to the ladies room where she was when I was coming out and she said ” God wants me to heal you” I was open to anything at that point so of course said yes. My leaking stopped immediately. It did not happen again! This lady loved Jesus 🙏 and talked about him all the time. She really had a gift of healing. ❤️ u

  • I have wild animals show up at my door, quite frequently. I’ve had two blue jays fly into my house, once I picked them up to release them, the don’t seem to want to leave. I’ve had 3 different opossums show up, one very sick, I treated him and released him. I rehab squirrels and I think they are spreading the word lol. I’ve been dubbed “the modern day Snow White”. 🥰

  • No matter where I go, strangers approach me and strike up a conversation or ask me for help with something. I can be having a horrible day, but it never fails. I’ve been told numerous times that I always look like such a friendly, easily approachable, and caring person. I feel blessed that others can see God’s presence through me. 🙏

  • I came across this article and I always felt I was different. I couldn’t believe you stated everything I had experienced. The electronics, sensitivity, I can detect and feel other people’s emotions and negativity. I’m more of a loner and love nature but can be a social butterfly at times 🦋 I attract random people and strangers that come up to me in stores to ask for help or find something. Even this homeless guy that was talking to himself asked me were the aspirin was. I wake up all hours. I attract animals. Babies will stare at me as if they’re reading my mind lol. Also street lights have went off after I’ve walked by or driving under them. I got so angry at this lady one day, which I’m a humble person and very pleasant to people, but in this situation I left out of her office so angry and walked into a fast food restaurant to order something and trying to calm down which I was calm on the outside but a volcano on the inside. As I was standing near the counter trying to order the digital lighted menu signs above began to flicker and the rotating words went on and off and the cashier said, that’s never happened before the signs are going crazy. I’ve been near registers that started acting up. I’m very sensitive to my surroundings and other people. I’m very spiritual and can not listen to just any kind of music or watch any kind of movies or TV shows. I have a hard time going to family reunions because a lot of us aren’t on same page. I can tell if someone’s evil, kind or depressed without talking to them.

  • One of my friends last night told me about their college interests and they told me how they really are interested in stuff like spiritual gifted people, and science. And honestly I agree. And I knew I was spiritually gifted by telling if my grandma was gonna get into a car accident, but most of these signs also work for me.

  • At times I asked myself, am I crazy? Why do I feel so deeply, why do I cry so easily, why do I just “know” things, why can’t I sleep the nights. Waking up in the wee hours, going out, looking at the sky, talking to the stars, even taking walks when the city is asleep. If feels so wonderful, is a completely different world. I dream quite a lot; sometimes I understand the messages and I even see the things I dream coming true; sometimes, I don’t understand them, but they still mark me and I think of my dreams often. And above all, is love I crave to give and receive. The deep, true, unmistakable kind of love. I spend most of my time alone, I can’t play the game of socializing for the sake of socializing anymore. Yes, I do feel lonely at times, but I came to prefer my loneliness to fake, unsatisfactory, shallow, relationships. May you all be blessed with the light of love.

  • Anyone else see places in the back of their mind here and there, that’s so second hand, that it took a while to even become conscious of it? Like a song, in one’s head, but it’s a place here and there? I relate to all of this in the article, and curiuos about (&would like to explore) other things too ✨

  • I’ve always known, I’m spiritually, gifted! From toddling age, I’ve always been an introvert who could see things here things feel things, just as you described I am a big animal person regardless of what type of animal it is! And clairvoyance has been in my life, since I’m three years old This is a very good article. I wish people would pay attention to their gifts rather than ignore them. It’s OK to ask for help when you know somebody who is gifted, they may not know exactly how to help you, but they all know how to pull it out of you!

  • Crazy how I’m actually perusal this when I woke up around 4:43 from another nightmare. I often have nightmares and a lot of sleep paralysis. At one point I could not sleep because of how bad it would get. This sorta makes sense to me because I have a lot of questions on why I go through this. Our priest told my mom a long time ago that I had a gift as well but I never knew how to manage or accept it.

  • Today I heard an audio voice telling me to unlock my gift. This is the fourth time I heard the voice. Last time I heard it I found out my father passed away. The time before that I almost died and had a traumatic brain injury. I can’t stop crying at random times throughout my day, I have been this way my whole life and I don’t know what’s happening.

  • So true. I have all ten. My entire life. I have been visited by spirits. Have known what was going to happen. Have people come up to me and ask for a hug. I can’t be in a big crowd it just bothers me all of the energy. I have had three knocks at my door twice and I felt that I should not answer. I have always been an animal magnet.

  • All these time I have spiritual gifts 1) God show me things in the spiritual world before I received it in the physical world, 2) I can sense negative energy and ppl around me 3) I always have time travel very often 4) whenever I find myself praying in my sleep I’m running away demonic forces from around me 5) whenever I’m in tune with God I woke up at hours 3-4am and start praying 6) I’ve always have love for animals

  • This vid came through my slide for a reason All 10 of those things are accurate for spiritual gifted people I have most of them And God created us all with something unique some of us are chosen to do more And it is well EMBRACE your GIFT let nothing dem your light be YOU your perfect in your own way God bless and let Jesus save you from the ways of the world and all that is going on these days Pray Jesus is listening and he cares.

  • God has blessed 2 of my children. They are on the Autism spectrum and most of the “gifts” in this article relate to both of my kids. They are simply more aware of others and the awesome God we serve promised these gifts when we are saved and receive the Holy Spirit. I am so blessed to see how their abilities affect others each and every day… even feral animals. ❤🙏

  • This article highly resonates with me 🤯. I hold the first 9 of these. I always seem to wake up between 3 and 4am. Animals most always seem to want to be close with me 💗. I can also feel when someone is thinking or talking about me. I get sensitive daily to energy. I have thought a thought and it manifested instantly. I can feel when I touch a object it’s energy and has gave me visions. I can read people’s thoughts, feelings and emotions. I often feel like no body understands my way of thinking 🤣. I am also much more on emotional roller coasters too 🤣. Thank you for sharing this brilliant article 😁. It always feels great to realise the energy of sharing 😁.

  • #15: The bodies of spiritually gifted people feel and hurt just as much as their minds do. After all, the corpus and the mentis are intertwined. The upsides? Music. Sex. Pleasure. Food. The downsides? Feeling every last muscle twinge, bone shift, and tendon tightening. There is no let-up. For some with spiritual gifts, exercise is the highest form of glory (athletes, dancers, even laborers who love their jobs). For others, it’s anathema (me.) “No pain, no gain”? In my case, I’m still wondering why “pain plus more pain equals less pain.”

  • I have had many spiritual experiences with spirit or possibly even angels but here from these 10 things I would say the last one is the strongest, my dreams have made me aware of danger that has either made me discover what happened that was a trick and I learned from it or has a strong message of what was to come later in the day so that I strongly averted it. I have never thought of myself as a psychic or a medium, but I have experienced things. I also had a dream that was vivid of being on BGT in front of the judges about 6 months prior to getting onto it. One example was my nan was telepathic but she very rarely used it, it only usually came about in strong circumstances and I don’t think she could consciously choose to do it. There was one day when I was a kid when I was arguing with my mum. My nan and grandad lived next door. Suddenly, as clear as a bell and in my nans voice the words “I’m sick of this” came loud and clear but like from within the head area. It wasn’t just me that heard it either, my mum heard it too. Not long after my nan came round, and was obviously going to express her upset but me and my mum told her and we were stumped. She said nothing and left.

  • It’s really something of a mystery, an impossibility for the physical world. It taken me 45 years to realize, or rather open my eyes to the spiritual realm and my place in it. Crazy part, was always in that i was analytical and scientific in my mindset. I’m a left and right brain galore, always have been, but always ignored the excessively spiritual experiences directed towards me. Hang in there fellow empaths, we’ll be fine.

  • When God is awakening you spiritually, and after you accept Him, you will experience things that you have heard of, or perhaps what many say are crazy, or that only happen to other people. The closer you get to God, the more He let’s you see through His eyes, the more He lets you feel how He feels. You begin to be connected spiritually with other things around you, as He is. He puts His spirit into every living thing. He is the source of all life. Sometimes when I think certain things, I hear and feel Him sigh and exhale, right inside of me. You will begin to be taught things that are profound, that no one else ever showed you before. Things will begin to make sense to you, when everything else used to be only confusing. You will stop wanting much of what the world has to offer. You will start realizing that your connection to God is like your life line. You couldn’t turn your back on it, because it is like turning your back on life. Your desire to help people will exceed your means. You will start to realize things like you feel like being a super hero, but you realize being one would require the misfortune of others and you saving them would teach them to believe in something they shouldn’t. You will try to find peace in a balance between being extraordinarily ordinary and ordinarily extraordinary. That last part may sound like something I made up to seem sophisticated, but the discerning know what I am saying.

  • I have been threw and still go threw everything that’s described in this article I am this and this is me and it crazy because I was looking up other articles that could help me spiritually connect to my ancestors and also get more closer to god whole time this was confirmation that I’m right where I need to be I just need to give it more focus 🧘‍♀️❤ thank you god for sending me here

  • Everyone has the potential and ability to be spiritual. Learning to read dreams is a huge basic step. Learning the difference between contacting spirits, random dreams, future sight as literal and metaphorical, ect. Took me a long time to learn dé·jà vu was just a dream you had before maybe months or even years before. Being a sign or being on the right path or a warning. Eventually you can alter the moment or pick up on other aspects unseen. But everyone gets those experiences but many brush them off and don’t try to learn and understand the questions surrounding the events

  • So all this true, so much it gives me lots of anxiety because I can feel everything. I know things just by looking at person, I don’t know how, i just do and I am never wrong I can read people very well. I can feel earthquakes before they happen, I here the earth rumble and it everything is extremely quite almost as if the world when still. I can see spirits but I ignore them they scared me. I don’t like to have many friends I love my time alone. I had dreams that are premonitions, I have déjà vu all the time. and I always felt like a fallen angel.

  • As an engineer I must say, Everything in the universe is drawn from scientific physics principles… the problem is, people assume we have discovered everything & we have discovered next to nothing, in other words: just because science has not defined a law to explain it, does not mean it is not reality. Using this logic, this means that if you look beyond the realm of science there is a much higher probability of finding the truths of realities than through science because we are not limiting our perspective to the human minds ability to rationalize. The human mind can not rationalize everything, but it can understand it in the abstract.

  • I don’t really like to talk about it because I don’t understand why I was born that way. I have been aware of this since the age of 7, I am 60 now. One day my mum asked to see my hands, she held my left hand and simply said, “You have the gift.” I use to tell people about things that were going to happen and when it did…they treated me differently; I scared them. I stopped telling. There was a plane that i knew was going to crash that day…i didn’t know what to do or who to tell without them thinking I was a wacko. The plane crashed. There was children on board. I found it hard to let that go. Many would say there really wasn’t anything at all that I could have done, but I have always wondered. To this day, I keep this to myself. It’s just too much for me. I cried about having this for the first time today…that’s what drew me here and to question this whole thing. Thank you for listening.

  • Things make a lot more sense now. Of course, I tell my parents this and they say ‘change it’ or ‘stifle it because you have to fit in in the real world’. It makes me sad, but it can be overwhelming sometimes to feel all these feelings that aren’t mine and not be able to turn it off. It’s why I seek so much alone time, to shut myself off from feeling overwhelmed by everyone’s emotions when I’m not allowed to express my own.

  • My grandmom used to tell me that when you have nightmares such as someone hurting you emotionally or physically, it’s just a nature’s way of making you realise how you feel about it because you are supposed to experience it . But because of your good karma, it doesn’t happen in actual life but you feel it in a dream .

  • I’m spiritually gifted… everything is amazing except when you time travel (in ur dreams) it’s just… idk smth that u must learn from and except bcz i had a lot of “time travel” since i was a kid and it feels like dejavou it’s cool but it ruins the moment…. but after-all I’m proud being spiritually gifted bcz i can feel other people so if they are sad i can cheer them up and that’s what makes me happy

  • Why do I feel like the whole of these narration was just all about me. my dreams most times to past and they keep repeating,I soft heart for animals, I can have good conversation with mentally challenged people, people pain hurt me as well,I enjoy my privacy alot. many people hate me for all of these.

  • Ever since age four, I am sensitive to the spiritual world, many years I was afraid of this gift, but learned to flow with it, and at times learn to control it, and learned about new parts of my gift that I never knew was possible that a human can do. I have seen over two hundred spirits, angels, ghost, demons, even felt God a time or two, and felt the presence of hundreds more, I have communicate awake and in my sleep in dreams or my inner eye opens and I can see them in the room and feel their personal thoughts pop in my head. Sometimes it happens with humans too. At times I have visions while driving in the car, then the vision comes true within minutes so I prepare for it, and I take my dreams serious, because some have came true. Sometimes my whole body will feel bad and become overwhelming that I know at times what to do before it happens. Yes the weather does effects me, I know more than the weather man. And If a spirit comes into the room, I don’t always have to see it, I at times I can feel their signature vibration, and know it it was one that came before by the way it’s signature vibration ~feels!

  • Im clairsentient ( Clairsentience, “clear sensing” or “clear feeling” is an extremely heightened form of empathy. Clairsentience is the ability to feel and experience the energy in an intuitive way. This energy stream includes other people’s feelings, inanimate objects, spiritual insights, and premonitions of the future.)

  • I always seem to talk to a person at random, about something that they need to know about, and while talking to them they look like they left their body for a few minutes, and then they asked me how I know what to tell them, I asked them have they ever heard of an Earth angle, it’s where I meet you or cross your path in life to tell you about something that you needed to know, I may be in your life for a few minutes or days, depending on how long it takes for you to get the answer and help you need to continue on your journey, and yep it’s weird but works, people have also told me that when they are around me they feel protected and at ease, and dogs seem to know about me, they sometimes act unusual around me, it’s like they like me or scared of me, they feel me, I can meet a person and either I like them or don’t want to be around them,, and thanks for sharing your thoughts and great articles

  • I just thought everyone has an intuitive ability to sense certain things. For the longest time I doubted that my intuitions were real or accurate. But as of recently I have come to accept that I can sense extra-perceptual phenomena like negative emotions, sometimes to a tee. However there is much I still cannot recognize and therefore suffer from inaction, frustration, or anxiety when met with unfamiliar signals. I still think everyone has the ability to access and utilize extra-sensory perceptions, at least more so than we give ourselves credit for. Peace out and thanks for the article!

  • Wow that hit me on everyone especially The empath and picking up on negative energy i even pick up on family tex when there is something wrong even though there is no evidence . The waking up at 3am is everynight usually following the same nightmare . Every animal is at my house all the neighbors laugh at it . I can talk to birds as well . I just started to practice mindfulness and meditation daily . I have come to actually love it . The only thing you didnt mention is i feel like im in the wrong time period like i dont belong here . Thank you i thought i was crazy spending time alone and loving it !

  • This actually makes since I’ve been trying to figure out why I wasn’t like anyone I met always seen as different these dreams the ability to see how people feel even tell them what there thinking from a strong feeling this article really just validated. These experiences don’t know if it’s true but it puts me at ease knowing I’m not crazy

  • Omg thanks so much…… Now I know why I’m experiencing night mares and everything u listed is exactly what’s been happening to me and I been depressed for a year wondering why I was so different from everyone and why I can’t sleep during 3; to 4 and have constant night mares….. At night I have such a hard time sleeping and I can sense spirits around ….. I thought I was going crazy …… This really helped me thanks 👍

  • Wow this article is totally true 👍 every point I experience. I feel spiritually gifted people can get misunderstood by some people and some people are threatened by spiritually gifted people especially evil people. It is a great blessing to have these gifts even if it is not always easy to have them when dealing with other people.

  • To get in most tune with it you have to know God… you have to read the Bible from a practical standpoint. After all this church’ianity going on for years…. just focus on Jesus teachings… love… positivity… I’m sure God would like it if we used his name for the glory…. but we are so diminished as a nation and a world that simply spreading good is what counts!

  • When some one has the gifts knows tommorw and knows the truth from lies that people say, and knows right away other gifted people, animals run to them and all the crazy and lonley people tell them all there secrets they dont just talk to them, even the darkest feelings and secrets people will tell the gifted whith out being asked, love from greece

  • ok now this has my attention, i have like more than half of these. i had deja vu dreams before i was a teen, pass by a place i would actually pass in the very same specific manner the next few days (plus, i had a recurring very confusing dream only when i have very high fevers which i can only interpret is my future). i inconsistently wake up between 3-4am. i’m an empath. my dogs appear to want to stay close to me. when i’m disturbed by a problem, devices sometimes malfunction (inconsistently). i’m also a law grad, a bodybuilder, a martial arts student, a financial literacy student and a lifelong student of science. personally, i think spirituality (take note i didn’t say religion) and science are just 2 co-equal sides of the same coin, you won’t completely understand the coin if you only understand one side, you need to study all its sides. masters are forever students.

  • We are made in Gods image, body, soul, spirit. When Jesus was here he walked by the spirit not by flesh and committed no sin, that was The Holy Spirit that raised him from the dead as death couldn’t hold him ie the wages of sin are death, we are called to walk in the Spirit also. John 3:3 unless your born again (Hebrew born from above) you will not see the kingdom of God. That means we must repent, believe and then receive the Gift of the Holy Spirit that joins with our Spirit as a Seal of God. Don’t get confused with religion over relationship. The Spiritual world is very real it’s just unseen, Spirits are angels and fallen angels and demons. Illegal operation in the spiritual can hurt your physical life. A lot of the oppression in our life’s comes from the spiritual. It’s all biblical but doesn’t make sense unless your born again with The Holy Spirit who Jesus called the helper, comforter., the Spirit Man is our internal being and some of us are really sensitive to creation around us.

  • What he was talking about with the creation of amazing worlds using our imagination, I relate to this. I developed a fantasy story from a very young age and to this day as an adult I still escape into it, especially listening to music!!. I’ve shared it with others and people are suprised how into detail it is, and I’m like, ” well it is my one true escape from the world” haha

Dead people comes in my dreams and people whose going to die comes to my dreams ! I feel sad most of the times ! Because people aren’t honest! Material things are not important anymore! I connect either animals very much ! The need to be honest is import gif me God snd angels always talking to me !! Sending love and good vibes to all of you
