What Is The Process For Altering A Pet Family?

4.5 rating based on 79 ratings

The Pet Wardrobe is a tool that allows players to change the appearance and family of their pets, while keeping their pet abilities and rarity levels unchanged. To change a pet’s skin or family within the same family, it costs 200 Fame or 20 Gold. This cost is higher than changing skin within the same family but is quicker and easier than finding another good pet from a matching family.

Fusing pets with high-level (Rare/Legendary) eggs is also useful for avoiding losing pet abilities or levels. For example, you can change an uncommon spooky egg with a second ability level role and fuse both pets to aquatic. This method is similar to changing your main pet but doesn’t require maxing a second pet again.

Pet Fusing is an action in the Pet Yard where two pets of the same family and rarity are combined to create one new pet of the next rarity level. Your pet yard must be at least one tier above the pets you intend to fuse. All pets in Realm belong to a specific family, and only two pets of the same family can be fused together to make a new pet with higher rarity.

Pet Family matters when changing your pet skin. If you select a pet skin that is in the same family, the cost of changing will be higher. To change a pet’s skin or family, you can pay 200 Fame or 20 Gold. You can change either pet’s family, so you have a choice what the final family will be. Once they are both human or exotic, you can then fuse them.

The only downside is the fame cost for changing a pet to a skin associated with a different pet family. This is useful if you wish to match the family of one of your pets with another pet to fuse them. In the Pet Wardrobe, you can pay 200 Fame or 100 Gold to change the skin to another you’ve unlocked.

New players need to be made aware of stat pots, the importance of maxing, and the value of feeding pets. To max your pet to the next tier, you should fuse it with another maxed pet in the Pet Yard to get a good next-tier pet with maximum stats.

How To Permanently Get Rid Of Pet Wow?

To abandon a pet in WoW, right-click its portrait and select "Abandon Pet," keeping in mind this action is permanent. Beast Master hunters can specialize at level 15 into Animal Companion, allowing the use of two pets: the one summoned via the Call Pet spell and the pet in the first slot of the stable. To tame a new pet, you must first abandon an existing one. Remove the pet from your stable, then right-click on its profile frame and select abandon, confirming with a "yes" response.

A utility spell in your spellbook can also be used to dismiss pets; simply click it and choose the "dismiss pet" option. If you are below level 18, you will have only one active pet slot, necessitating the need to stable a pet before taming a new one. Most towns feature stable masters near inns. If a pet cannot be dismissed or abandoned, your options may be limited to targeting or setting focus. To remove a pet permanently, follow the earlier-mentioned steps. This process allows for matching pets for fusion, which requires both pets to be of the same family. What Happens When You Fuse Pets In RotMG?

Fusing pets allows players to enhance their pets by combining two pets of the same family and rarity in the Pet Yard. This process either unlocks an additional ability or evolves the pet into a new skin, subsequently increasing its ability level and cap. For instance, fusing two maxed common pets unlocks a second ability and raises the level cap to 50. To initiate the fusion, players must ensure their yard is at least one tier above the pets being fused.

Access the fusing interface via the yard caretaker and select the "Fuse" tab. It’s essential to know the ideal fusing strategies to maximize your results; for example, fusing common and rare pets promptly helps achieve a maxed Legendary pet quicker. For the best outcomes, focus on maxing the first abilities of the pets involved, as this influences the resultant pet's stats. The average of the first abilities plus 20 determines the level cap of the fused pet's unlocked abilities.

Feeding pets is necessary to max abilities before fusing; however, this can become costly over time. Additionally, players can reverse a botched fusion if specific conditions are met. Overall, fusing pets strategically can elevate your pet’s capabilities, leading to greater advantages in gameplay. Familiarize yourself with the fusing mechanics and use tools like fusing simulators to gain insights into your pet combinations effectively.

Do You Lose Pets On Death Realm Of The Mad God

Do You Lose Pets On Death Realm Of The Mad God?

Pets in the game have evolved from being mere cosmetic accessories to valuable allies with benefits. Previously, if a player died or lost their pet egg, the pet would be lost, but now, pets are safely returned to the pet yard upon a character's death. This ensures that players can easily access their pets again without worrying about losing them. New players often wonder if their pets die when they do, but rest assured, pets remain unaffected by character death. Instead, while all items on your character are lost, including any equipped gear, pots, and experience points, pets stay in the pet yard, ready to be summoned back into play.

There are various types of pets, and one can obtain rarer ones through fusion. Pets can be fed items to level up their abilities, contributing to gameplay through supportive roles, such as healing or attacking. Fame plays a crucial role in the game, earned through surviving battles and can later be used to feed pets. Unlike character equipment, which is lost permanently upon death, pets are resilient—they do not suffer damage from enemies and cannot truly "die." As a result, players can focus on leveling their pets without the fear of losing them, enhancing their overall gaming experience.

  • Others Have said it but I’ll share a new players perspective perusal this: overwhelming. I’m 10 plus minutes in to the article and we haven’t even gotten to the actual game, just a bunch of stuff I need to do and apparently have level 77 pets? I’m a new player, I have no idea what pets are. I recall something about the shop and paying for stuff..but I don’t know why or what I’d be getting because I have no frame of reference for any of this content thus far. I’m sure it’s a great new player guide or intermediare guide, but a beginner guide id expect to be basic level stuff to get someone comfortable with the game so they can decide if it’s something they want to invest further in. Thanks for the article!

  • Hey this has got me a bit confused, and i’m wondering if anyone could enlighten me on it. Thanks! So i’ve just fed over 300K FP to a fresh legendary pet, aiming to max both abilities 1 and 2 at 90 with 285k. It currently sits at 90-87-77. Anyone has a clue wtf is going on? haha. — I’m an old timer, havent fed anything to a pet in like 5 years, just accumulating for a situation such as this one i guess.. —

  • Hey Seb, is it possible that if I merge an uncommon pet with Heal, Magic Heal, and a useless 3rd ability with another uncommon that has magic heal, heal, and electric, that I can get a pet with Heal, magic heal, and electric in that order? and if not should I keep grinding eggs until i get that order or keep the uncommon with the electric

  • I really like how clear your guide is, however i strongly disagree with the message that getting a divine pet is anywhere close to easy for a new player. They start out without game knowledge and also have the most punishing experience due to not having a pet. As someone who got a few friends to try out this game recently I can tell you that getting an 8/8 with a high amount of base fame at that stage is just not realistic. But leveling to 20, then maxing maybe 1 stat before dying somewhere at an event or during oryx castle just doesnt net you good fame per hour. Getting a good pet fast requires you to play well, which new players can’t be expected to do. Learning the game without a pet takes significantly longer aswell. The friend of mine who played best at the start and (mby because of that) actually stuck with the game still needed 250 hrs of play time to fuse to legendary, even though after he got the hang of this game at ~100hrs he was almost exclusively doing exalt dungeons in USE. So if you can devote lets say 2 hrs a day to gaming it will take you 4 months of playing this game exclusively just to get one unmaxed legendary pet. But I do agree with your point that deca has done a ton to make divine pets more achievable. In my opinion, thanks to deca, they are now even realistically achievable for a veteran player. I myself have been playing for almost 8 years, have 1400 hrs in this game and have still yet to fuse to divine. However, that is mainly due to when I did a bulk of my playtime (pre lost halls).

  • I NEED to know how to get a divine pet within a month without spending my rent payment. This article has changed my life and made me re evaluate how to live my life. How can you be so informative but still so quirky and cool. Sigh……… i cant go on any longer (i have super duper diseases) need reddit gold good sir you make my life complete like African American dishes it fills my soul. Sorry for the large comment hahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahah. Anyway i will give you these complements because i have watched you for give or take 100000 years (don’t fact check me) thanks for the laughs and epic moments. you are kinda cool i guess. Ill ask my mom and come back to you.

  • 22:18 YOU SHOULD NEVER FEED SKINS (unless its impossible to get a duplicate of it?) Its better to collect skins as if you get a duplicate of a skin you will be given stacks of 20 and 8 Crystals of Fortune. These stacks give 3500 and 2300 feed power respectively and are permanently stored in your gift chests for when your pet is Divine.

  • I stopped playing 6 years ago. I remember it was so hard getting feed power, getting enough fame and even finding space to put all my items. I like that it has changed. Very few people could afford to get their pet to Divine back then, and I remember stopping at 90 heal 86 mheal and 72 electric. So much grind… almost 900 deaths.
