A Therapeutic Interventionist (TI) is appointed by the Court and often orders families to work with the Behavioral Health Professional/Interventionist on specific intervention goals. The Interventionist may consult with attorneys, the Court, and the families to determine intervention goals. Court-ordered behavioral intervention (COBI) is a type of intervention that addresses specific issues or concerns in custody cases. It is designed to help parents and children develop and maintain healthy relationships.

Various methods of intervention in Family Court include Emergency Case Stabilization (ECS), Therapeutic Re-contact, Therapeutic Reunification, and Forensically Informed Treatment (FIT).
