“Home and Family” was canceled in early 2021, leaving co-host Mark Steines to announce that Ferrare had left the show and Matenopoulos would replace her. Hannah Kobayashi, 30, disappeared days after missing her connecting flight to New York City from Los Angeles on November 8. The show is ending in August after the current ninth season.
Kobayashi’s family reported her missing to law enforcement on November 11 after receiving “strange and cryptic, just alarming” text messages. Police say Kobayashi walked into Mexico at the San Ysidro border crossing about 125 miles southeast of Hallmark Channel’s Home and Family show. The cancellation was initially encouraged not to panic, but an update on the show’s official Twitter account revealed the reason for the reruns: production had been halted.
Home and Family (TV Series 2012–2021) cast and crew credits include actors, actresses, directors, writers, and more. In late May 2018, Steines was fired abruptly from the series. In the 1980s, Ferrare transitioned from acting to hosting several television series, including The Home Show, Home and Family, and Big Bowl of Love on the Oprah show.
