Was Alex Jones Successful In His Custody Dispute?

A jury in Texas has ruled in favor of Infowars founder and CEO Alex Jones’ ex-wife, Kelly, in the custody of their three children. The jury, which deliberated for roughly nine and a half hours, ruled that Jones had lost primary custody of his children and was given joint custody to his ex-wife. In 2015, Jones divorced his wife, Kelly Jones, and was given custody of the couple’s three minor children. Now, in a relatively rare reversal, a jury has awarded Jones joint custody of their children and the right to have their primary residence with her instead of their father.

The trial began on Tuesday, with Jones’ ex-wife’s lawyers hoping to focus the proceedings on the outrageous claims and spiteful allegations. After a ten-day trial, the wife of American right-wing conspiracy theorist Alex Jones suffered a dramatic defeat in his custody battle Thursday night. The jury stripped Jones of having primary custody of his children and awarded joint custody to his ex-wife. Jones lost the custody battle with Kelly, and in her attorney’s closing arguments, she said “Mr. Jones is like a cult leader”. The children appear to be cult leaders.

In a recent legal bid for custody of their children, the ex-wife of Infowars boss Alex Jones has launched a fresh legal bid in the wake of his arrest for DWI. The case highlights the ongoing legal battle between the two individuals and the potential consequences of their relationship. The outcome of the case could have significant implications for the future of the Infowars family and the future of the internet broadcaster and conspiracy theorist.

Did Alex Jones Intentionally Disobey Court Orders To Turn Over Evidence?

Infowars host Alex Jones has faced significant legal consequences for deliberately ignoring court orders to provide evidence in multiple defamation cases linked to his false claims about the Sandy Hook tragedy. A Texas judge, Maya Guerra Gamble, declared that Jones "intentionally disobeyed" the orders to produce necessary documentation, resulting in a default judgment against him and his company, making them liable for all damages. In September 2021, courts in two states issued similar default judgments as Jones failed to comply and refused to submit evidence, including crucial financial records.

This pattern of evasion has seen him sanctioned multiple times, and in a recent ruling, a Texas-based federal bankruptcy judge stated that he could not hide behind bankruptcy protections to escape accountability for the "willful and malicious" harm he inflicted. As the cases progressed, Jones’ repeated violations led to significant legal ramifications, where judges found him liable based solely on his refusal to comply with discovery obligations.

His actions have caused serious emotional distress to the Sandy Hook families and an FBI agent involved. Last September, it was further revealed that evidence contradicted Jones' testimony, solidifying the courts' stance against him in these ongoing legal battles.

What Did Alex Jones' Lawyers Say About His Ex-Wife?

The verdict in the child custody trial involving Alex Jones and his ex-wife, Kelly Jones, followed closing arguments from both sides. Kelly's attorneys accused Alex of being mentally unstable and a danger to society, while Alex's lawyers portrayed her as emotionally fragile and making false allegations about judicial corruption. Kelly intends to subpoena Alex's phone records after his attorney inadvertently revealed them in court. These texts allegedly show instances of Alex invading Kelly's privacy and have raised concerns about his behavior.

The jury ultimately ruled in favor of Kelly, granting her a notable victory amidst ongoing discussions about potential perjury charges against Alex due to inconsistencies in his testimony. As the trial drew attention, Alex Jones claimed he was simply playing a character, with his lawyers arguing that no reasonable individual takes his statements literally. Kelly expressed that the trial could teach Alex a lesson, asserting the need to protect others from his persona.

This tense situation highlights the ongoing fallout from Alex's controversial public image and legal challenges, particularly following a significant defamation trial decision that awarded victims considerable damages against him.

What Did Kelly Jones Do After The Jury Verdict?

In a significant verdict, a Travis County jury has awarded Kelly Jones, the ex-wife of Alex Jones, joint conservatorship of their three children, granting her authority over their living arrangements. Following a grueling 10-day trial, Alex Jones observed the ruling with a stoic demeanor before leaving without making any statements to the press. In contrast, Kelly expressed her gratitude, thanking God for the decision and embracing her attorney, Robert Hoffman.

During the trial, Kelly highlighted her belief that Alex has hidden financial assets, which her team aimed to uncover. The closing arguments from Alex's side attempted to portray him as the stable parent, while accusing Kelly of spreading misinformation. The jury, after extensive deliberation, ruled that Alex would retain visitation rights. The trial followed a previous ruling where he was ordered to pay $45. 2 million in punitive damages related to claims made by Sandy Hook victims' families.

Kelly had sought limited access for Alex while transitioning to a new life post-divorce. In previous proceedings, a jury had previously designated her as the primary parent, a role which was reinforced by the recent verdict. While the ruling fell short of some of Kelly's expectations, it nevertheless confirmed joint custody arrangements for the children, concluding a prolonged legal battle between the couple.

What Did Alex Jones' Lawyers Say About Kelly Jones?

During the child custody battle between Alex Jones and his ex-wife Kelly Jones, lawyers presented contrasting portrayals of each party. Alex's lawyers depicted Kelly as emotionally unstable, accusing her of unjustly claiming corruption in the Texas family court system. In response, Kelly's legal team labeled Alex as a "master manipulator," alleging he had turned their children against her. Kelly intends to subpoena Alex’s phone records after his lawyer mistakenly shared them, believing this could support her case.

Testimony described Alex's behavior as erratic, with Kelly asserting it has grown increasingly dangerous. Despite questioning, a witness did not label Alex's actions as "abusive," a term applied to Kelly instead. Following previous custody arrangements that granted Alex joint custody, Kelly has now gained the right to have their children reside primarily with her. Highlighting Alex's volatile nature, Kelly described him as "angry" and "hateful." Legal discussions also involved accusations of financial secrecy and attempts to manipulate perceptions, with arguments made about the distinction between his public persona and private self. Will Alex Jones Pay Damages If He Didn'T Prove A 'Giant Hoax'?

Conspiracy theorist Alex Jones may face substantial financial repercussions due to his false claims regarding the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy, which he labeled a "giant hoax." Court documents unsealed on Thursday reveal that Jones, founder of Infowars, is liable for damages in lawsuits brought by families of victims, leading to a potential payout exceeding $1 billion. The families have proposed a "path out of bankruptcy" for Jones, requiring only a "small fraction" of the amount owed.

Previously, a Texas jury ordered Jones to pay $49. 3 million in damages after ruling against him for his unfounded assertions. His falsehoods also targeted parents of the deceased, further compounding the emotional trauma inflicted. Overall, he faces nearly $1. 5 billion in total defamation judgments. A Connecticut court has recently mandated that Jones compensate families of eight victims from the shooting. The judge has indicated another trial will determine additional damages for intentional infliction of emotional distress.

Jones's financial future appears bleak, as he has been ordered to liquidate personal assets to fulfill these obligations. While a jury is expected to assess the total damages owed, financial analysts predict that Infowars may declare bankruptcy, limiting Jones's actual payment to a fraction of the total amount owed. The ongoing legal battles highlight the serious consequences of spreading conspiracy theories.

Why Is Alex Leaving The One Show

Why Is Alex Leaving The One Show?

In a recent interview, Alex Jones, 47, expressed her role as the "main breadwinner" and her desire to provide a secure environment for her three children, Teddy, seven, Kit, five, and Annie, three. Although she has co-hosted The One Show since 2010, her absence on Tuesday's episode was due to preparations for moving houses with her family. This change comes nearly a year after Matt Baker exited the show emotionally. On July 9, she and her fellow hosts, Jermaine Jenas and Roman Kemp, were replaced by Lauren Laverne and Vernon Kay.

The Welsh presenter announced she is taking a week off after a particularly emotional episode that left her in tears. She emphasized her gratitude to fans for their support. The show itself is set to take a break for almost a month, which was confirmed when Alex announced it on social media. This span is largely due to football coverage taking precedence, prompting The One Show to pause its usual broadcast.

Alex reiterated that her commitment to the show remains strong despite the recent upheaval in the presenting lineup, which has seen Jenas removed partly due to workplace behavior concerns. Overall, while navigating personal transitions and changes within the program, Alex remains dedicated to her family and career.

  • This is about his kids. His children. If he has his attorney say he’s a”performance artist” to keep his kids, I’d like to meet the person that wouldn’t say that to keep your kids. Remember, there’s a gag order so he can’t talk or defend himself about being a “performance artist” yet, but I’m sure he will once it’s all over. I’m not a Alex Jones fan in case anyone is wondering.

  • Play from 2:40 for the truth. He has FULL custody. And the divorce? That was in 2015 and he’s maintained sole custody. No one would think he has any contact with his kids and is in the fight for his life the way ABC is spinning it. Why did a Judge revoke his wifes right to any custody? She doesnt have ANY custody, she lost

  • Radical says you. I’m by no means some kind of Alex Jones fanboy nor am I here to defend the content of his programming I’m merely trying to point out this segment is precisely why is the mainstream media is becoming increasingly irrelevant. Love him or hate him, he consistently outperforms mainstream media on virtually every major platform aside from cable television. I would argue that only radical zealots would be willing to destroy the mainstream press as an institution and in a matter of just a couple of years take media dynasties one after another whose reputation and credibility took the better part of a century in some cases to build and burn them to the ground merely for the sake of retaliation against a duly elected sitting US president with whom you disagree. The fact alone not just fight your extraordinary effort you accomplished little in the way of securing the presidency for Hillary Clinton should tell you all you need to know about your relevant in America today. Your arrogance and righteous indignation has cost you the confidence and attention of the American people. We are merely witnessing the death throes of relics from a bygone era. Your purpose was never to bring straight news to the American people it was to shape and control narrative which is only possible when you are the only one with a camera and a microphone now that is no longer the case. Couple that with the ability of anyone to fact-check and refute your content in real time and distribute content of their own instantaneously to virtually anyone anywhere and it’s game over for mainstream media.

  • I listen to Alex Jones as well as main stream media. He does have some interesting points to make and while I sometimes think he is off the planet, he does provide an alternative view that provokes thought. Surely that is a good thing. On the occasions he has broadcast from his home, his presentations have been less “excited” than when he is in the studio.

  • A custody case going to JURY TRIAL? Has this happened before? Was Kramer VS Kramer a jury trial? Although a movie the real people involved were in and out of court a lot and there were appeals {I JUST READ THROUGH ONE} But I do not think it went to a Jury Trial. Now I think it took place in Ohio so as we know all states have different justice systems and ways of going about procedure. I just never thought a custody battle over three children would ever have to go to a JURY. Now my personnel felling is that Alex, To whom I have likes being a Pro trump Supporter may have a very hard time being he has had death threats on his life. I am quite sure his wife/lawyers are using this as one of the platforms for the hearing, However the judge said he does not want to make this about the show. I let my son go with his mother right after he was born, we were separated at the time. I did it because I felt it would be in his best interest, I WAS WRONG, BY TIME HE WAS THREE SHE WAS GIVING HIM VALIUM WITHOUT A DOCTOR RX, SHE USED HIM AS A PAWN TO GET BACK AT ME FOR LEAVING HER THE VERY DAY HE WAS BORN. AND BY TIME HE WAS 3 SHE ACCUSED ME OF MOLESTATION!! ON MY OWN SON. SHE DID EVERYTHING SHE COULD TO MAKE MY LIFE MISERABLE AND I SAID WHEN HE IS OLD ENOUGH I WILL TAKE HIM AWAY FROM HER AND I DID. DURING THE FIRST DAY SHE WAS SUPPOSED TO BRING HIM TO COURT SHE DID NOT, WHY? I FOUND OUT FOR THE PAST YEAR HE WAS LIVING IN A FOSTER HOME AND SHE HAD SUPERVISED VISITATION, FROM THAT POINT THE JUDGE KNEW SHE WAS A LIAR AND A FREAK.
