  • I have to say – as someone who is with someone who lost his previous partner and got a tattoo in their honor it is one of the things that made me fall in love with him. The way he talks about them and shares photos etc w me feels so so special. If anyone is ever upset w you for permanently memorializing someone so special to you then they are not your person.

  • I can definitely sympathize. My brothers girlfriend of 5 years died suddenly from a brain aneurysm when i was a senior in highschool. That rocked my entire family/community for the longest time. And the weirdest part now is im 4 years older than she was when it happened. It’s cruel how such good people can die so young

  • I lost my boyfriend on a nightmare road trip when I was 19 that was supposed to be our biggest trip to cap off the summer. When reading the title I already knew I was going to resonate with this and be emotional. My heart goes out to her so much and being someone who still finds it difficult to talk about my situation in detail I admire her so much and hope I can get there one day

  • I had a friend pass away a couple years ago, she passed the same year that I met her. We were only friends for maybe 6 or 7 months all up. I’ve always felt a lot of shame for grieving her and wanting to talk about her because I didn’t actually know her for as long or as well as some of her friends of 5+ years had. But I loved her anyway. Thanks for sharing, I really resonate with this girl’s story and her feelings around the grief

  • My parents were in an ATV accident in 2011 and it’ll never be the same. My father was in a coma for over a year and is now paralyzed on his left side and had traumatic brain injury. Broken back broken hips. Atvs can be so fun but they are so dangerous . helmets are so important it can save ur life!!!!!! That accident turned my parents into addicts bc they perscribed them 60mg pain killers and it truly ruined my family

  • i haven’t been through this. but my old roommates best friend lost her partner when they weren’t together very long. but everything you were saying about alex, i heard this girl say about her partner. that she made a huge impact on everyone she met, and it was one of those things where when you know, you know. and even though this girl is married to someone else now, she talks all the time about how she misses her partner who passed and what could have been. and it’s beautiful to see how her current wife allows her the space to grieve and isn’t jealous because she understands this wasn’t a breakup, much worse. i don’t know her well, only met her a few times but i’m friends with her on fb and my heart aches for her every time she posts about the hard days but smiles every time she posts about how supportive and amazing her current partner is for her.

  • Her telling us about how he was laying there, the cap being in one direction and how they think it was instant made me think about my own situation; my little brother died in a car accident. He was driving and somehow, while driving not too fast, got turned round so he was diagonally on the street. Then a big car came and it was instant for him and his friend. For me and my family it is the only solace to know it was instant. Much love for you 💚

  • I was in an atv accident. The owner Jerry rigged seats onto the back putside of the roll cage. We hit a small hole on a turn and I was sitting in the modified seat. It rolled and fell onto my leg. I sustained a severe knee crush injury which caused permanent nerve damage but nothing was broken. I’m ok now but I could have easily died, broke my spine or my leg. We didnt have helmets. Do not get on them. The terrain you drive on is just too unpredictable.

  • Your continued relationship with Alex’s mom, fam & friends is so reminiscent of my mom after my dad died. I’m going to try to make this as comprehensible as possible Mom = my mother; MatGrampa & MatGramma = my maternal grandparents, Mom’s parents Dad = my father; PatGrampa & PatGrammq = my paternal grandparents, Dad’s parents Ok, so MatGramma died before I was born from cancer, and Mom was her primary caregiver from the time she was 19yo-21yo (along with MatGrampa & eventually Dad, though they worked full time). Then MatGrampa also passed away from cancer when Mom was 32yo but just before his diagnosis, we found out that Dad had a rare genetic disease that had been misdiagnosed since he was a child. Mom was 34yo when Dad died, and accentually orphaned & widowed & suddenly a single Mom of an 11yo. Dad’s death was very sudden. He had been in the hospital for short stints throughout my life for treatment of chronic bronchitis & what we thought were severe asthma attacks. That last time he went in, we were very unprepared for him to die 3days later. We were also very close with my PatGrandprents and they really adored Mom and filled those parental shoes she so needed over the years. We would spend many Sunday dinners at their house while I was young, but those dinners became an every single Sunday routine after Dad died. The four of us really needed each other and a bit of normalcy. And later, after my stepdad (aka SD) came into the picture, those Sunday dinners continued. Mom & SD did so much for my PatGrandparents, and PatGrands did nothing but continuously & unconditionally loved & welcomed them into their lives as if it was the most natural thing to do.

  • I dont mean to be inconsiderate, my heart goes out to her those were rlly traumatic events, but is this the “fiancé” from the reddit story where the male didnt wanna have a dance dedicated to her deceased ex because he felt hes been very supportive thru her grief but wanted the wedding to be abt them n their love…? or no

  • It honestly bothered me that she held on to the “does anyone else know CPR” simply because you do get tired doing it, there is such a thing as switching out. I get that it was a misunderstanding but the fact that she felt her dad SHOULDN’T be the one to give cpr is just crazy! EVERYONE should know how to do CPR. How do people not think? Every minute counts when the heart stops

  • I don’t get the podcast name, If his death was instant, she didn’t watch him die. I’m super sorry you lost your boyfriend. It’s all such a tragic story. But as someone who has watched someone die, be eternally grateful you never saw him pass. I’m glad you’ve managed to move past this and you can keep him in your heart. ❤️

  • Please have in your articles a nova survivor, there is many Israeli girls and boys in all ages who have been captive by Hamas and they have amazing stories of survival and what they saw when Hamas members killed their friends and families . It’s very important and it need to be addressed as a story of people no matter where they came from
