  1. Log in to the Nintendo Account of the family group admin.
  2. Select Family Group.
  3. Manage the group.
  4. Remove a family group member.
  5. Head over to the Nintendo Account settings on their website, find the “Family Group” section, and opt to leave the group.
  6. Click “Nintendo Account” in the upper-left corner of the screen to access your account settings.

  8. Select the Nintendo Account that completed these steps.

In summary, to leave a family group on Nintendo Switch, follow these steps for both the family group admin and the account owner. Remember that children under 16 can only be added or removed by an admin aged 18+.

Why Can'T I Remove An Account From Family Sharing

Why Can'T I Remove An Account From Family Sharing?

If you initiated Family Sharing and added a child under 13, independent removal isn’t an option. You can either disband the entire Family Sharing group or transfer the child’s account to another family group. Deleting the child’s Apple ID is another route, but this requires caution.

For adults (13 and older) wanting to leave a Family Sharing group, access Settings, tap iCloud, and select Leave Family Sharing. For members under 13, it's essential to transfer them to a different family, as Apple's policy prevents removing such accounts directly.

If you encounter difficulties setting up a new family sharing account, ensure you're not already part of another family group. After leaving, note that updates across Apple’s servers may take time, and you may need to sign out of Media Services for changes to take effect.

Removing a family member leads to an immediate loss of shared subscriptions and content. If you’re using a desktop, access Apple Music, choose Account, and manage your family settings. On a Mac, navigate to System Preferences and Family Sharing. Remember, children under 13 can’t hold their own Apple IDs without an adult, hence the restrictions around removing them. To resolve further issues, consider contacting Apple Support for assistance.

What Happens If A Family Member Leaves Nintendo Switch Online

What Happens If A Family Member Leaves Nintendo Switch Online?

If the purchaser of a Nintendo Switch Online family membership leaves the family group, all other members lose access to its features, including Save Data Cloud backup, until they rejoin or subscribe individually. The family membership is available to all Nintendo Accounts in the purchaser's group, but if any group member departs, they forfeit their benefits. To reinstate or supervise account access, users need to accept an email from Nintendo. Remaining days of a family membership can be used as a discount for a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack Family membership.

If the family disbands, all associated accounts will be freed from the group and parental controls will cease. Only the original purchaser can switch the membership to an Expansion Pack. However, individual accounts cannot migrate to different memberships or transfer between accounts. A family membership allows up to eight accounts with shared access to online features, including classic games. If a member who didn't purchase the family plan leaves, they lose their service coverage.

Automatic renewal options are available unless canceled, and removing a member removes all eShop restrictions. Thus, if a purchaser exits the family, all members must either rejoin or purchase their own memberships to regain access. Not all games support family sharing, and certain account restrictions apply.

  • HOW TO REMOVE SUPERVIZED ACCOUNT: Yes I was having the same problem where it didn’t let me remove a supervized account too. So basically here’s how you do it. 1. Log in to the SUPERVIZED account (not the admin) at the nintendo account website. 2. When you log in just scroll down, don’t click anything and there should be an option to add an email. 3. Add the email of your choice. 4. You will need a 6 digit code from the email address that’s used on the ADMINS account 5. Put in the 6 digits correctly and it will ask you to verify your own email with a 4 digit code. 6. After this you can log back into the admins account and you should be able to remove the account! This is how I did it so if something doesn’t work just reply i’ll try to help because I know how annoying this can be.
