Family Sharing allows you to share your location with family members and help them find lost devices. When the family organizer sets up location sharing in Family Sharing settings, the organizer’s location is automatically shared with everyone in the family, including any new members. You can also set up a Family on your iPhone and share your location with all members using the Find My app or the Messages app or Maps app.

To track friends and family on your iPhone, you can use Find My and Google Maps. To share your location with family members, open the Find My iPhone app from your Home screen, sign in to your individual iCloud account, and tap on any device to receive more information. To see people sharing location with you, tap on the “people” tab at the bottom of your screen (bottom left on iPad).

To track someone’s live location, open the Find My app, tap on “Share My Location”, and select the contact you want to share your whereabouts with. To check whether you’ve shared your iPhone’s location with anyone, open the “Find My” app on your iPhone and tap the “People” icon at the bottom of the window.

Family Sharing is available on your iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch, and Find Devices is available on iCloud. com. To locate a family member’s location, go to Settings > Family > Location Sharing, select the family member you want to share your location with, and repeat this step for each family member you want to share your location with.

On your iPhone, iPad, or Mac, open the Find My app, tap or click the People tab, select a family member’s name, and then select it again to see the menu. The Find My app combines Find My iPhone and Find My Friends into a single, easy-to-use app on Mac, iPad, and iPhone. To enable Share My Location, go to Settings > (your name) > Family Sharing > Location Sharing, then turn on Share My Location.

If your iPod touch isn’t currently sharing your location, go to Privacy and Security > Location Services and enable Share My Location. If your iPhone isn’t currently sharing, use the Find My iPhone feature to track a family member using their iPhone.
