  • Good old Sean – 00:22 – ‘It wasn’t that many weeks ago when Sean Bell was talking about Ukraine’s victory plan, yet here he is now talking honestly and openly about… hinting at, potentially some form of negotiation and some sort of cease – fire’…. the ill-informed, hypocritical Sky News team are finally coming round to what those in the know (like myself) have been posting sarcastic comments about for weeks.

  • This guy has no clue or outright lying. Ukraine never had any nuclear weapons, they were Russian. Ukraine was spun off from Russia in the 1950s, it was never its own country prior to that. The area was settled in the 700s by a people called the Rus and Kyiv was the first Russian territorial capital in in the 900s. If the Bandera group had not attacked the Russian speakers in the Donbas, none of this would be going on.

  • By March 2024, mostly Western governments had pledged more than $380 billion worth of aid to Ukraine since the war started in 2022. November 2024 it could pass $500 billion. But money or weapons are not fighting and winning but a military force. Only US spent more than $3 trillion in Afghanistan. when UK, Germany, France and other 43 countries added, it could pass 4 trillion, In the end Taliban did win and took it all including $96 billion worth US weapons.

  • ALTERNATIVELY… Enter into bilateral military/security treaties/agreements individually with each NATO country so that if Ukraine were to be attacked, any one of – or multiple or all – those treaty countries can come to Ukraine’s aid and if it happens that Ukraine’s aggressor (having been so offended by such collective defense action) punishes that particular NATO country/countries with military action, the US and the rest of the (NATO) alliance may legitimately join the war on justified grounds by invoking Article 5 of NATO’s treaty clauses.

  • Zelensky’s poor leadership has caused the killing of many Ukrainians- especially its youth and men. Now, he wants to cede territory to Russia after previously refusing or neglecting to negotiate a peaceful settlement with Russia. Ukraine people deserve better leadership. He is also illegally and illegitimately in office. His term ended a while back.

  • If ZELESNKY started saying territory isn’t a big deal but the people of Ukraine, this MEANS TRUMP’S team has been engaging both sides (Moscow & KIEV) and underneath the tables discussions are going on !!! ZELESNKY has been LECTURED well on Real POLITICK 😮😮 He’s now preparing the minds of CITIZENS plus SUPPORTERS OF UKRAINE/NATO on what is coming in 2025

  • No! Those words (Ukraine security as long as they gave up their nukes) were good! BUT the problem was that part of the deal was for Ukraine NOT to be included in NATO, and as the Ukrainians tried more and more to have NATO come into their nation that was a big no-no for the Russians, them remembering getting invaded agains and again… and again. For the Russians Ukraine is like a buffer zone between them and NATO, specially with all the depravity passage.

  • Actually that agreement refrenced at 1:17 was ukraine returning Soviet unoin missles to Russia, which russia had the codes for. They were never Ukrainian nukes, they were russian nukes stored in ukraine and their security was guarenteed so long as Ukraine stayed neutral of any military alliance. And furthermore russia was given a veto power to reject ukraines attempt to join Nao or anything similiar. So it’s ukraine who broke the agreement. In addition, ukraine is ran by an illegal regime due to the west sponsored coupe detat, so it’s this illegal regime that’s the greatest threat to the Ukrainian people.

  • in 2022, putin did not claim the donbass, in ’22, the donbass (lugansk and donetsk) asked putin to intervene to stop zelensky’s attacks on its territories (donbass refused to accept the kiev nato backed coup, as did crimea. ukrainian soldiers in crimea took off their insignia (little green men story) and sided with crimea. ukraine wasn’t going to let that happen in the donbass too so they attacked the them. also zelensky never gave two hoots about his people, ludicrous that he does now tbh.

  • It baffles me how the so-called analysts and experts really thought Ukraine would win when anyone vaguely familiar with the real politics of that region (no MSM nonsense) and can research knew for a year that despite it being a war of attrition since 2023, Russia is winning and will win. These people believed Kyiv could win purely on the basis that they wanted them to win, not based on fact or reason.

  • In other words, in the interview, Zelensky said there is no agreement that does not include membership of the territory, agreed upon in the Budapest Memorandum, of Ukraine in NATO,. However, he would accept that the region invaded by Russia becomes a buffer zone secured by NATO forces. Therefore, I do not see how it could be seen as weakness on Zelensky’s part. What seemed weak was Trump proposing an agreement similar to the one made by the Obama administration back in 2015. Pure surrender. The art of not learning from past mistakes.

  • Zelensky is smarter than all these journalists and commentators. He is not preparing negociations with Putin. He is preparing negociations with Trump. The most difficult discussions will be with Trump, not with Putin. To make sure the West continue their support. Hopefully the British and the French will be on Zelensky’s side.

  • FULL STOP: 1. The Memorandum did NOT say that – it stated defense of Ukraine if a nuclear attack blah-blah (in fuzzy language) 2. All such agreements must be ratified by the U.S. Senate as far as the Americans’ participation in them goes – this they NEVER gave. – – – WHEN the western states that made the Memorandum did that, Russia was threatening to roll over Ukraine and take back USSR/Moscow property – which at that time they would easily have done – all it did was give Ukraine some time and prevent a war that NOBODY in Europe wanted! Ukraine couldn’t use the weapons anyway – Moscow has the codes – and were a danger to nuclear proliferation or being captured by terrorists …

  • If Western countries wanted to save life of Ukrainians and at least some territory for Ukraine, then in 2014 they would have proposed holding a referendum in Ukraine on where Ukrainian citizens want to live – on Ukraine or in Russia. Those regions that would have voted for Russia would have been joining Russia.

  • It isn’t what Zelensky will agee too, its how much those who guaranteed Ukraine sovereignty, (if they gave up their nuclear weapons) will honor their pledge. Russia has shown that their word meant nothing, and sadly the U.S under Trump look like their word is as worthless as Russia. Britain on their own cannot counter Russian aggression, so it looks like Ukraine is going to be stranded. What it does prove is any country with nuclear capability, should never relinquish their weapons, because of trust in the U.S to honor their agreement. Russia would never have attacked if Ukraine still had nuclear weapons, and that was obviously the point of Russia agreeing to the deal.

  • —1. The Nuclear weapons NEVER did belong to Kiev. Those ALWAYS did belong to MOSCOW. The Property in the house of the Landlord belongs to the Landlord, not the tenant. The Weapons were always the property of MOSCOW and MOSCOW (the Landlord) placed them where Moscow wanted. When the Landlord (MOSCOW) let the tenant (Ukraine’s Experimental New Republic) go, then the Landlord (Moscow) recovered its property. Stating the Nuclear Weapons that were station in the Ukrainian Soviet Republic did belong to the new Experimental Ukrainian Republic is a Hoax and Fallacy. –2. The Nuclear Weapons were not the issue but the NEUTRALITY !!!!! If the new Experimental Ukrainian Republic wanted to exists then NEUTRALITY was a SUPER MUST. Ukraine swore to remain NEUTRAL and NON NATO, and there was both a NEUTRAILITY PACT and a FRIENDSHIP PACT with Russia. Both were destroyed by the UK/US/Victoria Nuland Coup 2014 by the Anti Russian Ukrainians of the North and West of the Country. Without NEUTRALITY Ukraine cannot be as it is an EXISTENTIAL THREAT to the Russian Federation and an Abomination to the millions of pro Russian Ukrainians of the EAST and SOUTH of Ukraine. Ukraine officially abandoned Neutrality on December 2014 and the puppet President of Ukraine did not Renew the FRIENDSHIP treaty with Russia in 2018. euronews.com/2014/12/23/ukraine-votes-to-drop-neutrality-and-seek-nato-membership

  • “What would russia settle for?” – that is a question that should never be asked of an aggressive invading country… They should settle for their own country, or they can deal with the ruin left behind, do not cut sanctions or seed any territory unless Ukraine has full NATO protection or Putin is out of the picture.

  • Before the war kicked off I remember some talk of disagreements between Russia and Ukraine. Russia needs access to the Black Sea and they were going through Ukraine, peacefully with permission (I think). But then something was mentioned that Ukraine were going to block or restrict access which made Putin very angry. So if Russia keeps the eastern side of Ukraine then Putin should be happy. It’s not ideal, the bully has prevailed, but if it gets us peace then that may be the price that has to be paid 🙂

  • Nukes were located on the territory of Ukraine, but Ukraine had no control over them nor means to use them. Ukraine was not the only country which “gave up their” nukes in that deal, somehow, the other countries are doing fine. Budapest memorandum guaranteed that Ukraine will be safe of military, economic or political interference, one might say that staging a coup looks like an interference, Victoria Nuland told us quite openly who staged it. Zelensky term as president ended some time ago, yet he cancelled elections – so much for a democracy. Just few facts which from some reason are not being talked about on Western news…

  • US / America calls it “Liberation” instead of “Invasion”. That was what US call it in Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, Yemen, Somalia and the list goes on… Why the double standard? Confused… Please enlighten. Genuine question… Instances of the United States “liberated” or overthrowing, or attempting to overthrow, a foreign government since the Second World War. • One thing we notice about the Russians, they do make a lot of mistake but when they go back and regroup, they are unstoppable. Even ww2 they screwed up a lot at the beginning but when they regrouped in they pushed the german back to Berlin. Even the chenchen war they screwed up in the first invasion, but wrecked the chenchen in the second invasion.

  • ” the fact is that usa the uk and russia all garanteed the security of ukraine as long as they gave up their nuclear weapons 20 years later those words meant nothing ” well at least the russians kept their word for 20 years the same cannot be said for Nato and his promiss to not expand more to the east

  • Actually, we learnt very little from Sky’s interview with Zelensky but that was only to be expected. We learnt even less from Sean Bell who is little more than a British M.O.D. propagandist. Calling him a ‘military analyst’ is a bit like calling the Pope an expert on The Kama Sutra. By now, the Russians have thoroughly grasped that they will not be free of the threat of Ukraine (whether as a whole or as a Rump State) joining NATO unless they push all the way to the Polish/Slovakian/Hungarian/Romanian/Moldovan borders.

  • If he had thought of the people, he would have accepted the first peace offer and who knows how many thousands of people would have been alive, and his country would not have been destroyed. China, Turkey, Hungary and several other countries offered negotiations even before Russia annexed part of Ukraine. When peace comes, whenever it comes, the first thing to do is to check his finances. His and his generals and ministers.

  • Any settlement MUST involve IMMEDIATE MEMBERSHIP OF NATO for Ukraine. That is the ONLY way to give Ukraine security, independence, and freedom. Russia wants to rule that out, for obvious reasons. The alternative is to give Ukraine modern nuclear missiles – with NO restrictions on their use. We might also gain some leverage over Russia by promising these if negotiations do not lead to a good outcome for Ukraine. Oh, and we should keep sanctions in place as long as Putin is in the Kremlin.

  • Wrong question it’s not about settlement for Rossiya~! Instead it’s about not allowing Black Sea to not be Russian….Odessa the entire coast must be returned to Russia. Also, those cities adjacent to the port inlets along rivers all must be in Russias military control. In short the can be no agreement with current un elected comedian for anything. Why would Russia want or need to negotiate for anything less than all of Ukraine so it can return to Russia. Russia should not pause or stop it’s military offensive until the ukraine is completely occupied and the current regime removed.

  • Russia was supposed to take Kyiv in 3 days. Thanks to the Allies’ Support Russia has barely taken 20% of Ukrainian Land and it lost partially Kursk… Without any support Ukraine 🇺🇦 had already lost its whole territory and now with a big opportunity to stay on the European Side and away from The Kremlin, via NATO and EU… This is not a loss.

  • Both Zelensky and Putin know Russia will continue attacking at some point. Zelensky is smart enough to push for a commitment from NATO in anticipation of this attack. At that point, he can justify retaking Ukrainian land and forcing Putin to negotiate. Russian will need to put 500,000 troops in the Donbas indefinitely, which they can’t afford to do.

  • I mean, if the Usa proves that they cannot defend their partners and that they are ok with damaging them to selfpreserve, Taiwan, South Korea and Israel are in grave peril, if Tariffs come, which are going to come and the Usa enters in a great depression, those military outposts will be compromised and have to be defended or conceded like Afghanistan, like Ukraine…

  • I get what he is saying about what will Iran and China behave like, but Trump wasn’t in power at the start of this war. Trump won’t give them an inch come the next 4 years. Whereas the Ukrainian war would never of escalated like this had Trump been in power. Trump knows he needs to bring this to an end and if giving up some land saves lives then so be it.

  • Ukraine signed Military Neutrality 1991 in order to gain independence – Nato announced To Take Ukraine ( and Georgia ) in alliance 2oo8, which broke that agreement, and made Ukraine independence Null and Void – Bucharest 2oo4 have nothing to do with that, Ukraine Never Had and nukes on its own, it was USSR property and the Russian Federation in the Only Legal successor of the USSR, Not Ukraine, or Nato

  • Putin didn’t say these are the areas I claim for my own. That’s just bs . Show me he says that. Those areas all asked to joint Russia and Putin initially sad no. Only when the west and Ukraine broke Minsk repeatedly did he invade. In all the peace agreements Putin said Ukraine would be intact. Ukraine chose war.

  • I believe this could be a solution to the ongoing war: Allow Russia to retain the territories it has already conquered in Ukraine. Permit Ukraine to join NATO, but under specific conditions: Ukraine should not maintain its own military forces, inshort ukraine should not have any military power, and NATO should not stationing any military presence within Ukraine. Why? The presence of military forces in Ukraine has heightened Russia’s sense of caution and created a perception of threat near its borders. Without a military, Ukraine would no longer pose a direct threat to Russia. At the same time, Ukraine would be protected under NATO’s collective defense framework, deterring any further aggression from Russia. Although NATO is a military alliance, Ukraine could be made an exception under these terms. A formal agreement should ensure Ukraine’s NATO membership comes with the stipulation that no military forces—whether Ukrainian or NATO—are stationed there. NATO would only intervene to defend Ukraine if Russia invades again.

  • Trying to tell the public about what one side will settle for in war is not only disrespectful to the intelligence of the viewer but it is dangerous in that it allows the other party to believe the other side has no interest in doing anything else but getting their own way. At the start of this war and all through it this has been the tact. Russia will come to the table when she is ready. Not when the minions of the Military Industrial Complex say so. Get over yourselves.

  • Russia will most probably want to take more territories that they used to have before communist revolution. Those are Odessa area, Dnipro and Harkov. Before WWII, western Ukrainian areas which Stalin took from Poland, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania. In that part of the world, territories tend to change owners every 2-30-50 years.

  • The Kiev memorandum also exists alongside the Budapest memorandum. Article 6 of the Kiev memorandum states that neither Russia nor Ukraine will join any military alliance that threatens the security of the other. But still, Zelensky pushed to join Nato and Biden did nothing to dissuade his stated ambition. The result is not surprizing.
