Can A 14 Year Old Go To Kings Island Alone?

Kings Island has introduced a chaperone policy effective April 22, requiring all guests aged 15 and younger to be accompanied by a chaperone who is at least 21 years old. Failure to comply will result in ejection from the park. This policy applies to all ticket and season pass holders, and children under 15 may not enter the park unaccompanied during evening hours. Visitors are encouraged to plan their trips and can check the park's FAQs for essential information.

The policy aims to ensure safety and proper supervision for younger guests amid concerns related to unsupervised minors. • I only go to Kings Island once a year because I live a little over three hours away, and I very rarely get to go to other parks (Universal Orlando once about seven years ago and Dollywood three times across about seven years) so the fast lane essential to me. I don’t get to go to many parks even though I really love coasters and would love to go to more so being able to ride everything at Kings Island however many times I want when I go totally justifies the price tag. I went to Kings Island on Thursday the 22nd last month and despite being a weekday the lines were still quite long (30-60 minutes) so I am very glad I had the pass. Side note you are my favorite coaster website your articles are always very well constructed and written, and your voice is really nice to listen to unlike many other websites

  • I used Fast Lane plus in may and while it rained and the crowds weren’t bad it was still worthwhile to walk on everything at the park. Diamondback’s line was still decent so I didn’t feel like I wasted my money. That said I got a season pass for KI for next year (my first one) with the idea that I’ll never have to get Fast Lane again. If a ride’s busy I’ll just go again some other time I’m so worried about how busy CP will be when I’m there in a couple weeks. I purchased Fast Lanes for it months ago and they’re now going for $225 a piece!

  • If you have any preexisting or current injury that makes it hard to stand in line you can fill out a green sheet at customer service and this will even supercede a fast pass. It’s also free, and you can bring multiple guests. My girlfriend had a knee surgery and we got one. Rode 22 rides in one day we were wrecked lol…

  • As a season long fast lane holder (all parks) I see that KI is much better than CP for one major reason, all of the major attractions at KI have dedicated lines where at CP they don’t. Maverick, TTD, and valravn are the only top coasters where you get to walk right up. At KI you have Orion, mystic, the beast, diamondback, banshee..all with queues that lead right to the station. SV had it until this season where that mess got even messier with the lockers and merging FL line.

  • I would say if you have the freedom in your schedule to pick any day, you should pick a weekday that has a chance of rain for around an hour midday. The fast lane will probably be unnecessary. You do always have the option to buy fast lane passes if you get there early in the day and lines are crazy. The fast lane season pass to me is just a bad financial decision, but I suppose some people are in a place where they can make bad financial decisions without being affected by them.

  • Fast Lane is BS with the way it’s setup. Pay Cedar Fair money for something that costs them nothing and degrade the experience for everyone else. That money should go to everyone who has to wait longer because of people with Fast Lane cutting the line. Get thrown out of the park if you break the rules and cut in line… unless you pay us extra money for Fast Lane and then it’s fine. I’m not bitter because I can’t afford it, because I most definitely can. I just think it’s very unfortunate with the way it works and that so many people think it’s perfectly fine.
