Is Family Guy Still Running In 2024?
In 2023, Fox renewed "Family Guy" for two additional seasons, taking the show through its 23rd season, which is set to run until 2025. The premiere of Season 23 began with a holiday special on Hulu on October 12, 2024, followed by another special on November 25. However, a notable change occurred when Fox announced that "Family Guy" would not be part of its fall schedule for the 2024-25 season, marking the first time since 2005 that the series is absent from this lineup.
The shift is attributed to the introduction of new animated series, such as "Universal Basic Guys." Series creator Seth MacFarlane reassured fans that the show remains popular and relevant, celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2024. Despite the schedule changes, Fox Television Network President Michael Thorn emphasized that "Family Guy" is still a vital part of their programming. The series will now return in midseason, with plans for a full no-repeat run in spring 2025. While fans may be concerned about the changes, Fox is committed to ensuring the longevity of "Family Guy" alongside other animated staples like "The Simpsons" and "Bob's Burgers."
Does Family Guy Have A 9 11 Episode?
In the "Family Guy" episode titled "Back to the Pilot," Stewie and Brian travel back in time to the events of "Death Has a Shadow" (1999). Brian inadvertently alters the future by warning his past self about the 9/11 attacks. When they attempt to prevent 9/11, they unintentionally trigger a disastrous chain of events, leading to unforeseen consequences. The episode, airing in the show's ninth season, aired on November 13 and sparked controversy as it tackled a sensitive subject—the September 11 attacks—known as the worst terrorist incident on American soil.
Critics argued that the show, which is infamous for pushing boundaries, might have gone too far this time. While the notion of changing the past serves as a plot device for comedic moments, the serious implications of stopping such a significant historical event highlight the risks of time travel narratives. As the characters return to the present, they realize the aftermath of their intervention, illustrating the complexities of altering time in a comedic context.

Seth MacFarlane is a 9/11 survivor he’s a champ and his shows are awesome. Seriously though, MacFarlane was almost on American Airlines flight 11 which was destined to crash into the World Trade Centre’s north tower. But due to a hangover, he arrived at the airport 10 minutes too late for him to perish in the attacks as the plane had already taken off when he arrived. Talk about lucky!

I would like to add that I still think it’s awesome Family Guy in a parody of Breaking Bad manages to write a much better story for Walter white’s wife than the original, which may also be due to the fact that the authors openly had no plan what to do with their should make character or where the journey is going
Do you wanna know how long Family Guy has been around for Fraser was still around Friends was still around Breaking bad and the Sopranos have started and ended Fuller House started and ended The iPhone was founded eight years after the show started The iPod was released in 2001 discontinued in 2022 There were only 31 NFL teams Five NHL franchises have been founded And Tom Brady wasn’t even in the league when the show started
I’m that one guy who has been perusal family guy since the beginning and was also sad when they were cancelled and excited when they came back but I’m also that one guy who doesn’t care for any of the star wars episodes and sadly not a fan of the then there was fewer episode. I don’t know what is it or why it is but I just can’t watch them and I have tried so many times. Other than those I really don’t have any other episodes that I don’t mind perusal over and over again.
Thank you for not mentioning or showing the Disney universe killing Mort. That’s the poison of not a joke but a completely untrue and thoroughly debunked myth that spoils the other awesomely animated and well done sequence of a Disney song parody. Disney buying Fox is their payback that was well deserved. And at least the Big D doesn’t get Fox News
Family Guy doesn’t win Emmy’s or get nominated because it’s a brain dead show. It doesn’t say anything profound or have any interesting characters outside of Stewie. Look at shows like Breaking Bad and Sopranos and all the interesting characters, stories, themes, dynamics and plots they have and ask yourself if Family Guy has even 1/10 of that. Spoiler, it doesn’t.
Thing about shows like this was to escape Reality to which it did, not have it shoved down your throat And Make Fun of it in a Bad way as it Goes down But then FG just gets pathetic since Lasting longer then a decade and Desperately shows with Desperate Self awareness To where it’s just Beating a dead horse then gets Frankenstein’ed by Brainless fans that won’t let it just die I mean I “got into” FG around 2003 as an Alternative Simpsons and was Funny and Interesting as heck obviously with re-runs from 1999 etc. But then it just got eye rolling and plain Dumb around 2007 then just Lost interest after that Then I just got older and smartphones became mainstream so TV itself is Outdated pathetically to say 😅 So I haven’t really Seem T.V. Shows like before in 2000s since iPhones personally 🤷♂️
