4.0 rating based on 39 ratings

The first step in organizing a family calendar is choosing where to place it: on the wall or on devices. A shared family calendar is a digital app that allows you and your family members to coordinate and organize their schedules in a centralized format, allowing everyone to access it directly from their device.

Creating a family calendar is essential for keeping track of everyone’s schedules and commitments, as well as organizing activities, appointments, and events. It helps to create a more harmonious household and reduce stress. There are no right ways to keep track of your family’s schedule, but there are several options available.

Creating a family calendar in Excel can help organize appointments, commitments, assignments, and more. Family calendar apps include shared calendar functionality, reminders, task assignments, and delegate tasks. Delegating responsibilities can help prevent unnecessary surprises. To be most effective, the calendar should be hung in a centralized location where everyone can see it, such as the refrigerator.

To create a master calendar that includes all important events and appointments for each family member, do a daily or weekly review, and create topics for important event types, such as medical appointments, kids activities, or upcoming trips. This will help break down overwhelming events and make it easier to manage your family’s schedule.

  • Im 17, ive been perusal you guys for at least 5 maybe 6 years…you guys basically brought me up, when you guys did any of your organising articles i would go downstairs turn too my mum and go IM ORGANISING THE CABINET…thank you for being there even though you guys are thousands of miles away please know that a little 12 year old girl on a scottish island was sat perusal you all the time!!! I can’t wait to become a mum and actually use everything you guys taught me 🫶🤍

  • Love your articles so much! I know every mom has their own way of taking care of their kids. My mom doesn’t do flu shots because they only just make us sick but we are fine without them and thankfully almost never get sick. I love my mom so much and wouldn’t trade her for the world. Honestly I would trade the world for her.

  • LMAO I’m commenting from my legendary mom’s phone, I remember I watched u guys on her phone about 4yrs ago and now I have a 4yo little brother and I remembered ur acc and I showed it to him 😭 it’s been 4yrs and I’m officially BACK omg❤️❤️❤️ I swear y’all were my childhood, all love and support for u guys ❤️

  • Would love a general update article about WUM and y’all. Been a subscriber since 2014 (“I’m So Pregnant reeled me in!) and now I actually DO have kids haha! While I still love the content, I feel like it’s definitely shifted to less frequent articles, with a more scripted, sponsored vibe and less “real life stuff for moms and kids.” Obviously your kiddos are all properly big kids now, so maybe the priorities and gaze of the website have shifted as your own families have. But I’d still love to know how things are going! How’s the office? Did that candy bowl last? Do Ford and Tess still share a room? How’s the sibling dynamic going with older kids (have you had to use that QI app?!)? What are your struggles now that you have older kids? Do you have any team members with babies/littles that could fill that gap? Thanks for all the great work and inspiration! ❤

  • I am trying to be more organized this year with my kiddos. And I want to try this out. But can you tell me all the supplies you used and what size you bought the frame and the size you printed out the calendar as well, and where did you go to print it out ? Thank you 😊 and I love your articles they are so satisfying and very well organized. ❤

  • I love my family so much as to set myself up for abuse as opposed to them having to deal with it on various levels. I know how strong I am… it extends from my imperfection. My wife is strong too, but I don’t tell her what to do with herself or her body… so many plans and realities embedded within wheat and weeds. The cover provided for usurpations is nefarious and pathetically simple as well. I have been trying to job search while also not having my family fall to pieces over and over. It’s amazing how little people really care about these types of things. Sometimes, folks even justify such evil acts as optimism being naive… very sad. The defining of kindness and courage… My family does it every day, I try to be worthy, but boy do I fall short a lot.
